supposed i am at 302/800hp and i use illusion of weakness, now it is supposed to take off 202 hp (suppose max), now wat happens?
since it heals back when ur hp hits 25%, do u drop down to 200 hp and then get healed 202 hp (therefore it could be used as a healing spell )
or do u get healed only the 102 that was lost before u hit the point of 25% hp
or does it not work at all, like does it it instantanouesly do nothing ?
thx for help
illusion of weakness question

You lose an specific amount of health, as soon as the spell gets removed or your hitpoints drop below the specified ratio, it will heal you for the same amount of hitpoints you lost before.
So in case it sucked 202 hitpoints from you, it will heal for exactly that amount of hitpoints later on.
/edit:
I misread, sorry
Well, it will heal the next time you take direct damage (not health degen). If you push it too far though you can kill yourself with illusion of weakness. HAve done that now and then

Well as the spell say:
I would assume you will loose say 200hp, then be at 100hp and then immediately the enchantment triggers and heal back 202hp. I believe when you cast it will say on the enchantment itself exactly how much HP you will get back [regardless of what your current HP is and how far below 25% you are].
Now considering the cost [10 energy] and recharge [30 secs] i wouldn't bargain on that to "save" me . I believe the idea is to cast it before battle , heal back to full, THEN enter battle and use it as a backup heal.

You lose 50-202 health. Illusion of Weakness ends if damage drops your health below 25% of your maximum. When Illusion of Weakness ends, you gain 50-202 health. |

It serves its use against middle skilled players too. Those that will stop hitting a target to go for a probably weaker target. And a mesmer with half hitpoints definitely looks weak and like an easy kill.
Bam, Illusion of Weakness kicks in and heals back the mesmer... so much for weakness and the opponent suddenly has to fight a mesmer which is by no means weak, but even grounded... with the difference you probably went in with high self esteem and now find yourself on the losing side.

ye so its like bonus health in a way
so u can kill urself with illusion of weakness right?
if u have say 100/800hp and u use it, and it takes off 202 health straight away? then ... u dead?

You managed to totally overlook my post... congratulations :P

Problem with using it as an "illusion" aka "target the weakened mesmer instead" is the whole shatter enchantment issue. I'm not even sure illusion of weakness triggers if it's shattered, nevermind the possible damage that another mesmer can do by shattering it. Very risky if you ask me.
I'd probably rather use Divine Intervention for that purpose :P

Easily covered with enchantments. I personally use it to cover IW on my mesmer.

You're all missing the big picture of this spell. Shatter will trigger it's heal IF the shatter didn't drop you below 0 hp.
You can cast this and have a monk cast protective spirit when ur under attack. Now you're ALOT easier to heal AND a hard nut to kill.
The other MAJOR advantage to this spell is if you're a sacrifical necro. The spells work on a percantage 33% while This spell is up is NOT alot of damage. and if you get attacked while doing this this and dropped below 25% you get a quick heal of 50-202. How ever you now effected ALOT more my DPS. Alterantaivly Heal per seccond is also more effective.

The damage caused by casting Illusion of Weakness will not trigger Illusion of Weakness.
If IoW is removed by another spell, the healing is triggered instantaneously.
