How Does Voice Chat Communication Sound?
funnybunny008
Wouldn't it be sweet if they made available voice chat communication through your microphone on PC so you can talk to party members and guild members? If you can talk to all (people in town, etc.) then that would be a little too hard to hear who is speaking. But if they keep it to a minimum of party members or guild members, now that would be nice. Simple, press/hold "key" and speak then release when you are done so there is no noise interference.

Uh... Teamspeak and Vent....

Ask anyone on XBox Live what the downsides of that are.... Besides There are 3rd party tools to do that, and ANet probably doesn't want to blow $$$ on chat servers. Granted it would be nice.

dear god no.
You think swastikas and body parts on your minimap are bad? Wait until Mr. InternetAnonymous has access to your speakers via a microphone... UGH.

yes please no voice chat.
my guild uses a vent server.
you can get a 10 man server for almost nothing anyways.

A way for your character to say some fixed phrases would be useful. You know, things like "Help!" or "Run for your life!" In the middle of a fight it's hard to catch people's attention with speech bubbles.
Diable II had something like that if I remember correctly. A little surprising the feature didn't find its way into GW.

TS and Vent are enough. And I don't even use those. Ugh. I already have pervs 'whispering' at me. I don't need them actually speaking to me.
