How much energy can a lvl 20 ranger have. Is that affected by 2nd proffession?

Energy doesn't go up as you level, whatever you have now, thats how much.
No it isn't affected by your secondary.
You can raise it with druids armor but I heard it was taken out or something.

Full Druid's armour will get you to 32 (at any level). I assume you're using a bow, so you won't get much higher than that. I have seen +5 energy bows, but as long as your Expertise is high enough, you'll probably find other bonuses more useful.
For energy management, high Expertise is more important than max energy for a Ranger.

Ranger has 20 energy to start with (could have sworn it was 25

you could go Elementalist and sub Ranger and increase this pool to around 80 or so if you wanted to.. but the armor of Elementalist in this game is probably the worst

Yeah... it sucks clouds, right up there with mesmers' armor AR.
EDIT: the attribute expertise at level 14 reduces energy costs of most ranger skills from 10 to 4, and 5 to 2, It's a great alternative to energy storage.

Elementalists armor is horrible, rangers is actually better in every way.
