The problem is that "15k" is a search term that is "too short" for this BBS's search function, and so it does not use it when performing a search. The searcher then gets oodles of results based only on "armor", which is not at all what he's looking for. Then, the searcher gets frustrated and makes a new post.

I used "tormentors" for my search term. plenty of 15k threads came up.

I simply stated the most common scenarios regarding the search function and its ambigous results. Most people search on only the most basic terms and fail to use specific terminology that would yield them more accurate results. For the "average" searcher, the scenario I described above is exactly what happens.
