I also appreciate this about Guild Wars. By contrast, Battlefield 2 requires approximately 30 minutes of advertisements you can't skip through to start the game. Makes me very angry.

Yea, it's really nice to see the game load so fast without a gazillion of logos.

Rename all *.bik files to something else to fix that retarded EA crap.

Somewhere between the Real World and Tyria ;P

The Gothic Embrace [Goth]

Enter the Matrix had a lot of logos and stuff at the beginning and in game there was at least one popular real life drinks vending machine (Powerade IIRC) that I loved shooting up and it did smash up, and graphics cards adverts on billboards in the game (Nvidia IIRC). Maybe they had a subtle double meaning but still advertising.

Another reason why I don't buy EA games that won't allow you to quickstart the game.

Command & Conquer: Generals had a quickstart option; just add -quickstart in the target line of the shortcut.

In Battlefield: Vietnam this was fixed by simply deleting the .bik movie files.
In Battlefield 2 (I think) it can be fixed by renaming the 'movies' folder, or something like that.

I so HATE these splash screens that can't be clicked away. Look, I KNOW this game has been published by EA games and I KNOW it has been developed by that developer and is sponsored by that company and is in coalition with the Monkey Turds Group of The Gaming Society. I've seen it once and that should be (no, is) more than enough.
