I noticed that none of the PvP areas (LA Arena, Droknar Arena, or Tombs) have a Priest of Balthazar. How are PvP-only players supposed to spend their faction points? Sure, many people have PvE characters with access to a Priest, but what about those who want to have just PvP characters? And (in my opinion) it's annoying to switch between PvP and PvE just to unlock a rune or a skill. There should really be Priests in at least one of the PvP areas (Tombs would make the most sense.) Heck, when I saw the update that's exactly where I figured they'd be! Surely I can't be the only one who thinks this!
Why isn't there a Priest of Balthazar in the PvP areas?

And you are wrong, PvE is the main part. |
To the OP, nice observation, my guess as to why they didnt put priests in PvP areas is simply because they didnt forsee this problem. It is a problem, and I would think its easily fixable.
So, yeah, Im all for priests in PvP areas.

Haha you guys are funny. I guaruntee you no one has previously bought this game and created only PvP characters. They wouldn't be able to unlock skills, they wouldn't have upgrades, runes, etc.
Now that this patch is released, there MIGHT be some new comers who all they ever do is PvP, but seriously, it makes sense to put the Priests in PvE areas. If you can't be arsed to switch to a PvE character to unlock a skill, just save yourself the time and leave it locked.

Taken from GW Update News page: In coming weeks, we will continue on this path, and will work to address the difficulty of unlocking items and runes for use in PvP.

The priest were placed to draw PvP characters back into PvE. They are aware that most of the community hates the PvE so put the priest in the PvE cities for PvP character to look for them. And I quote, "They were not put in PvE mode for PvPcharacters to benefit from."
The amount of point you get in PvE arena is lower than that of PvP arena so of course the faction idea was not made for PvE.

I'd really like to know where those "numbers" came from that made you say this. However, it really is a bit of missing logic to have those PVP Rewards put into the PVE System. Yesterday i wanted to unlock a Superior Vigor after a few long battles when i realized i would have to
log out
switch charactes
jump around the major cities to find the one who trades it
unlock it
log back out
delete PVP Char
Remake PVP Char
Add Supperior Vigor.
This is not really comfortable. Sure they might have had their reasons for this but it is damn uncomfortable from my point of view.
First I will answer the thread:
Yes the priests should be in the arenas, you are correct. Simply fix would be to move them into the PvP areas... since there really no need for them to be anywhere else.
And in reply to many different people...
That statement is rubbish and you know it... this game is called a CO-OP RPG... never have I seen A.net say this is primarily anything... the key point of your post is "You Heared" meaning it may or maynot be true.
That's a stupid statement... they don't want to force people to do anything.
Well I like to see you create a massive game like this, keep the servers for it up and running correctly AND also give free weekly updates. Your not in any position to comment on how A.net does things.
Then your missing out on a complete part of the game and its your loss.

Heaven forbid they actualy made the choice conciously and on purpose with the intent of making the player do PvE at least once; taking into account the consequences(read: complaints) of it and still chosing to go through with their decision.

Personaly, I don't see the reason to use PvP characters. In a day or two I can make the build I want from going through PvE. I can PvP as usual, and go out and kill some random stuff if I tire of it. Also whatever I may not have unlocked for PvP I can certainly buy for my characters.
I realy dislike being confined to the PvP arenas. Its the tradeoff to not raising your own character. And personaly, I'd rather raise them myself and have the freedom to do something other than PvP.
