Fire (cold a close second) - PvE

Lightning - PvP

Lasareth

Lightning is most frequently used in the last few missions (read: 2 or 3 missions). Other than that the overwhelming majority is fire in PvE.

I'm shocked there is no talk of Earth used in PvP.
Earth magic provides some of the best defensive spells in the game.
