PvP, using unlocked items?

If I unlock a rune or weapon hilt, etc in PvE or by spending faction points how do I add that unlocked item to my PvP char's current weapon or armor? The only way I found was to delete the character and recreate him since you get those options on char creation. What am I missing here?

Thanks,

You aren't missing anything. At the current time you need to recreate a PvP-only character to make use of new equipment or skill options that you have unlocked.

What does it matter anyway? Creating a new PvP character only costs you a few minutes..

what happens to the faction you have gained using that PVP character? Does it get erased with the character?

faction is an account based thing. Deleting a character doesnt lose you any faction. Only way to lose it is to spend it poorly

How about skill points? If i gain skill points using my pvp character and have to delete it and recreate another, will i lose those? tx.

Why would you need skill points for a PvP character??

In fact, you can't even GET skill point son PvP characters.

How would a PvP character gain skill points? PvP no longer rewards EXP but Faction.

My mistake. I must have confused it with something else. I was under the impression that when you're level 20, you get 1 skill point after the level bar is filled.

While this is true, a PvP only character has no way to gain experience.

It only matters because I use my PvP char as an extension to my bank box

Is Anet making any plans on altering this so that there is a way to change weapons/armors properties?
