what is the "cap" on dmg reduction - i heard its 5, is that true..
reason im asking is for my w/mo - he has full knights set with major absord rune, which makes it 7. Wondering casue if its 5, i need to change my armor set to a higher ar.

Base reduction for knights is -2. Supeiror Absorbtion rune adds another -3 (minor -1, major -2). Togther thats -5. If you have a shield with -2, and ONLY get hit from the front, then it's total -7.

If I have ONLY Knight's gauntlets, do I still get the -2 damage reduction bonus - I'm right in thinking you only need one piece from a set rather than all the other armour sections (I know the helmet only gives a strength bonus anyway), yeah?

There is no cap, its just the armor pieces don't stack so its as much as you can get. A pet can get a much higher damage reduction than a player. And yes, the one piece will affect your entire body despite the fact that other armor mods are locational.

Sigh.... yes, you still get the -2 global damage reduction if you only have ONE piece of knight's armor.

runes and armor dont stack...that 5 max is 3 from sup absorbtion rune and 2 from a shield

Whoever told you that runes & ascalon/knights reduction doesn't stack is lying to you.. or a total idiot who doesn't know what they are talking about.
Runes will stack with knights/ascalon damage reduction as well as shields damage reduction (assuming you gte hit from the front). And you only need 1 piece of knights/ascalon armor to get it's damage reduction as right now they act jst like runes - a global effect.

Runes will stack with knights/ascalon damage reduction as well as shields damage reduction (assuming you gte hit from the front). And you only need 1 piece of knights/ascalon armor to get it's damage reduction as right now they act jst like runes - a global effect.
