How much gold can storage hold?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before - I just couldn't find the answer. I've got 870k as of this minute and I'm working on my first million. Someone said that I can't keep more than a million in storage - while someone else swore it wasn't a problem. What's the official answer?

I think it can cuz i know someone wit 2.3million

1000k in storage, 100k on character.

Direct From the Guid Wars Update Archive....

"You can now store gold in your account storage vault! The vault can store up to 1000 platinum pieces, and individual characters can now hold a maximum of 100 platinum pieces."

So That Makes 1,000,000 Gold in Storage and 100,000 Gold Carried Per Character. (1,100,000 Total)

Once again I'm hearing 2 opinions. For those who say 1000k is the limit - where do you get that info? Word of mouth? Or did you read it somewhere?

1.4 mil is the max you can have counting storage and all 4 chars but if you had more then a mil i would consider investing it in black dye, obsidian or ecto for 1 slot you can fit 1 million gold worth of blackdye (@4k a bottle 250 bottles) probabaly more considering the ecto and obsidian prices

How the hell do you people have so much gold?

I have 80k in the vault and 5-8k between my other characters... (that's 5-8k each, and there are three of them)

I've never farmed, though... I've been in the fissure several times (each time I sold my eternal/half moon bows to the merchant unfortunately, I didn't know they would be such a hit!)...

Teach me plz I wish to know the secret to money making omgwtf
