Firstly my question is about Flurry. According to skill text it increases swing rate and decreases damage. However by how much is the swing rate actually increased and by how much is your damage increased ?
During the beta I have grown to love the +1 energy hit -1 energy regen mod. However during the beta I used frenzy which kept my damage cycle going and be able to spam spells as a warrior. However is the double damage taken really worth the increased dps ?
Personally I dont want to use berserker stance due to the long recharge time and the inability to use skills in the increased swing time.
Question about swing speed increase

I think Flurry increases the swing rate by 33%, and decreases damage by 25%, however I could be wrong.
As for Frenzy, I really don't like taking huge amounts of damage just for a little more damage output, I experimented with Berserker's Stance and Warrior's Cunning in place of that. I was liking Berserker's just because I was using quite a few adrenaline skills, so once that finished I could essentially keep spamming them one after another which increased my overall output by a fair amount. You might look to see if anyone's actually done the math on any of those skills, seeing as my suggestion is just sort of a 'what feels right to me.'

I think it's rather situational. If you find you're continuously the subject of attacks, Frenzy might not be a good idea. OTOH, if you find you frequently have periods where no one is targetting you, Frenzy is speed with no real downside during those periods. Whether you have such periods or not will determine the usefulness of Frenzy over Flurry. If your team has three warriors, and the other team is focusing fire, at least 2/3rd's of your warriors can be using Frenzy for free (well, except for the casting cost). The third just refrains from use. Alternately, if you're a ranger/warrior, you probably have frequent periods where Frenzy has no real downside, and being able to spam arrows faster than people without speed boosts swing their sword is a real treat (assuming I have my math right: short bow with frenzy = 1.2 second attack).

about how many sword attacks, on average, can a person make in 10 seconds?

Please take a look at the guides section, which is extremely informative thanks to our resident experts.
Namely, this guide. For bow speeds, there is another guide for that, also.

well ok here is another question,
galrath slash adds +29 damage and has 8 adrenaline
while banish has +44 with a recharge time of 10
so which will put out the most damage over time?
is smite and banish worth having as a replacement for power attack and galrath slash?

galrath's slash doesnt take energy as opposed to the others
a sword hits every 1.33 seconds (3 times in 4 seconds)
so technically you could cast banish more...but the damage probably would not be the max as not many people max an attribute (except for weapon masteries)
if you were a warrior you still might run out of energy casting banish and then be left with no power...not to mention energy denial builds
note: i have never seen an adrenaline denial build

Anyone else test or know for sure how fast flurry is? I'd really like to know how the speed boost compares to frenzy and other speed buffs.

Back on topic, Smite and Banish can deal more damage over time if you invest a lot of points into the Smiting Prayers attribute. However, these both cost energy, meaning if you're using many skills with energy costs, you might not always be able to afford them, whereas Galrath Slash costs 0 energy, meaning you can use that energy for other skills.
A lot depends on the other skills you take as well. If you use a stance like Frenzy to speed your attacks up, you can gain adrenaline faster, allowing you to use Galrath Slash more often. Battle Rage will double your adrenaline gain as well, making it so you only need 4 hits to charge up Galrath Slash instead of 8. Smite can do excellent damage if your fighting someone who's attacking but if they're a spellcaster, you often won't be able to get the bonus damage from it. In general, all of the skills are situational, and their benefits vary depending on the circumstances in which you're using them.

power attack adds +26 damage when maxed with a 4 second wait time
with ten smite, banish deals 44 damage with a 10 second wait time
also, power attack stacks with the original damage of your weapon right?
so overall, is power attack more usefull?
