Lets say i was hoping that at least one person would like to start
a petition for this idea.
It appears to me that the idea is only intersting to a few people
and the common interst goes into things like the levelcap, elite items
or other things that turn characters into unique supreme beings
(something areanet definitly tries to avoid).
If there is no further reply to this within the next 24h
i will drop the idea and ask to delete this thread.
PS:
I am not mad or sad about this matter, just a little disappointed
that i wasted 8h on making the screens.

I do think that this would be a great addition to the game. the part about the jerks will always stay around. IF you do run into a person in which you do not like their skills bar, then by all means suggest something different, but don't flame. It's all about Suggest or Leave.

Always Use the Search Feature before you post a new thread.
You never know how many other people have had the same suggestion as you.
It's more effective for the Developers to find one thread with 1000 posts,
rather than them finding 100 threads with only 10 posts, about the same topic.

Yes, this seems so natural, that it should be in the game.
I have seen too many PvE fights, where only one player with a ressurect is alive and shouts: "Who has res?". With this feature, he would just have to open the window and see for himself who has the ressurect spell.
Definitely an idea worth implementing! So where's the petition

I believe that perhaps just the first half, (Showing with a toggleable option) is the best idea. When you begin to look at other people's skills, or suggest skill sets, you're entering a territory wherein you begin to play the game for them, and that's problematic on a lot of levels. You'll also get people making comments about the skills you have, etc.
"OMFG. You ------- newb you don't have Maelstrom?"
And so on. However, I very much like the first half of this proposal.

I had a sort of related idea. I find that I use different skill sets when I am playing in different situations (pvp'ing with various tactical load outs, pve'ing in the different areas, etc.) I have often seen people get caught switching new skills in for a mission because someone left the town or whatever too early. I thought that it might be a good idea to have situation presets for skills that could be customized and fast switched. For example, if pressing "j" brought up a window that had, say, three racks of presets that could be switched in to your skill bar for the next mission you were going to enter. Elementalists, for example, could have a fire, air, and cold rack depending on where they were playing.
I expect some people will object on the basis that there is not enough of a need, it is not drastically more efficient etc and therefore not worth implimenting.
Just an idea.
