Maybe a stupid suggestion but...

how about a very powerful ability/skill for each job that can only be used like every 2 or 3 hours. We all hate it when u are fighting a boss and ur party members are dropping like flies, so wouldnt it be great if u could do over 300 damage or help ur members with an awsome ability?
It worked well on FFXI so i thought it could be modified to fit Guild Wars
Monk: eg. cant think of a name, but its a massive Heal Party, restores every1 to full health and full mana
Warrior: eg. still no name..., something that makes attacks double the strenght and double the attack speed for say 30 seconds.
Ranger: eg. 1 single shot, cannot be evaded, hits them for 300dmg or something.
Necromancer: eg. Spells do not cost any mp to use for 30 seconds and recharge twice as fast. Or creates an Army of ??? undead (around 6 or 7) for 1 minute.
Mesmer: eg. Use this on a monk, ele, necro or mesmer and it stops them from using any type of magic spells/skills for 30 seconds.
Elementalist: eg. Depending on element u use (choose 1 at the start and that 1 becomes ur default skill, cannot be changed),
Fire - sends a gisnt meteor crashing down damaging them for ... and causes burning for ... seconds,
Water - wave that knocks down enemies and damages them for .....,
Earth - Creates a rock shell around team members nullifying (spelling?) damage for a certain amount of time, or,
Air - Lightning strikes all enemies nearby (in seperate forks, 1 for each ememy (basically cuz it looks cooler) and blinds them for .... seconds
These may all be a little too like FFXI, apart from Elementalist because i made that out of the blue. I think my mesmer 1 is the worst, but Friends is on TV and i couldnt think of any more good ideas.
Tell me what u think eg. Great idea, your a god!, Good idea, nice idea, would like it to be implied, Bad idea, nice thinking but i dont think it could work, or Just walk out the Door, i have never seen such a bad idea in my life.

Too unbalancing. If a team wanted to go play the tombs for a while. They eventually would run out of the special skills, while new teams coming in would still have them. Since they can't swap mid battle, they would be stuck with a useless skill until they lost.

well maybe we dont apply the ability to PVP, only for PVE.

I know... we'll call them Limit Breaks and we'll give the warrior a multihit attack and call it Omnislash. What do you mean that's already been done?! /sarcasm
This is a decent idea for PvE purposes, but it would definately need to be restricted to PvE only. PvP is supposed to be about skill, not the team who still has their uber-skills available. And I might even go so far as to limit their use to once per day.

You know, there is a skill that (sometimes) you can only use once every 2 hours or so. It is called the Ressurection Signet

I'll give a reason - too easy to all save your big nuke ability to take out bosses, game isn't designed for it, it would either make the game too easy or ludicrously hard bosses unless you brought the uber ability when charged along. Might fit other genres/game setups, but lousy in GW.
