I have been playing Everquest for about 2 years now. In Everquest, you can only have one of your characters logged onto your account at one time. My kids play too and created their characters under my main account, so we can never group together.

Will Guild Wars allow you to log onto your account multiple times so that your characters can group with one another?

no, you'll have to buy a seperate account for each connection like every other MMORPG.

I can handle purchasing another copy of the game, especially since there's no monthly fees. I am planning on uninstalling Everquest from my laptop and my kids' PC and unsubscribing from it as soon as GW comes out full-force.

Guild Wars is so much more "put together". I especially like the fact that when I died, I came back in the same zone without having to do all that traveling over again (like in EQ). And I REALLY like that you don't lose any experience when you die. Heck, I died so many times this past weekend with my level 2 Necro trying to fight level 5 monsters. But I beat him in the end.

Go GW!

I definitely agree, I was an EQ addict for a year some years ago. This game is so much better. Only thing is not being able to order pizza within the game. EQ always has something better. lol

yes, i liked the new ressurect points in the explorable areas in pre-searing ascalon and that your progress in that instance, ie loot on the ground and mobs killed, is not lost when you die.
