LMAO. Rangers rule, everyone who says they dont suffer from two things. 1) Stupidity 2) The ability to play a ranger.
Yes, pets need upgrading, but very little. They need a decent armor rating, and perhaps a few armor related skills. They need infusion on them after Iron Mines (?).
A bit more controlable AI, like who to attack, nothing fancy.

Talking about pets: I'd wish that a pet was able to wear at least on skil or signet.
e.g. Signet of resurrection.
So when my ranger bites the dust, my pet can resurrect me.
That's the kind of loyality I expect from a pet.

Yes the search button is your best friend.
Pets are infused now... to whoever was asking about that. Check the patch notes... my issue with pets are as follows:
- Zero Control over them - We need to be able to command our pet directly... same as henchmen need it. Go here, Defend me, guard this location, follow me... etc...
- Charm Pet should be combind with "Comfort Animal" since it annoying having a keep a spell in my skill bar just to have a pet in battle.
- Maybe pets should have a sparate skil bar of their own? but only limit it to 2 skills.
- we need a pet stat screen, like the one for our characters. I want to know my pets damage output, "armor" level, like to know if its infused. The works.
At the moment taking my pet into battle is simply not worth it. Having another skill in its place is sadly much better.

I think there shuld be attribute points for pets just like normal characters so u can make your pet have a high defense and lower attack or low armour and high attack speed so you could customize your pet more.

uhh ya the pet attacks dont work so well. they have to be up rught next to pet to atack, why cant it use the pet skill on the next target it sees... why...? it has to be right next to the person, and most of the time while im fighting my pet is somewhere pecking at the frikin ground (mao bird) he just doesnt work well... rangers are good but pets stink.

because normally ur pet is far off or doing somthing really stupid

yes people do take pets into 'hard core PvP'.
But only those of us who know how to use them.
I have no problem with my pet, save the ocasional ground pecking, but they always attack what you attack(unless they get stuck on you). If you think pets stink give up now and throw out charm animal, you clearly aren't meant to play the build.
