What did I order from SimplyGames?

Hi everyone, after reading some topics on questions about pre-order packages and so on, I wanted to ask what I have ordered from SimplyGames:

Looks to me as if you just preordered the game through the company that you went with only. I am sure you didn't miss the fine red print that says you will not get a preorder key. Basically all you did was tell them to save you a copy when they get their shipment. I suspect that since the company probably didn't preoder the game through Anet that Anet will probably ship to all of it's preordered companies first then yours might come a few days later. Just a hunch, I may be wrong.

Stealthy Trapper is pretty much correct just not sure about you don’t get the game on the release day comment cos it states on there website when u pre order a game you will get it at home the day of the release, but still my advise to you is cancel if you want more than just the game.

I pre-order Guild Wars Factions CE from them never could answer my questions about this;

Pre Order and receive a beta key which gives you access to the following:
Access to the Factions Preview Event on March 24th


Access to Guild Wars Factions twenty-four hours before the official release date


Exclusive in-game items - one unique item for each of the two new professions


A "friend" key that gives one of your friends access to the Factions Preview Event on March 24th

So after many emails I finally got one saying that they will not take part bla bla bla and then post in on the site in RED like was said above.

I went ahead and made my pre-order from Gameplay.co.uk r you Factions standard its only like £1.00 more (not the CE) and you will 2 in game items one for the assassin and one for the Rit and you get to try the game 1 day before its officially playable to all.

I got my keys by email the next day that was a key for taking part in the Preview 24 and the 24 hours before key, this key gives you access to the in game items, just remember you can sell this items or trade them they are customized.

Now if you have no issues with Game.net you can order from them but its like £5.00 more and they claim they will send you a Pre-order pack in the mail, check website for more details.

Just to recap if you don’t take about extras and want to say £1 or 2 then get it from simplygames.com, if you don’t mind paying £1 or something like that extra and you want to play the game 24 hours before the official release get Gameplay.co.uk or game.net with game.net you pay £5.00 more and you get extra stuff that comes in a CD by post, they don’t say when they will post if for you.

I have comment on other threads about this just search for one of them

I only made comment on this 3 cos I have exp with them if someone knows a better option then leave your opinion.

I would go with Play.com but are not selling Factions any longer issues with Anet I think.

We can only comment and give you advise the decision is your. If you want to explore the character of this company just give them a call and ask some question you will get an idea how they act/work/operate.

You will not receive it until the day of release 28/04/06 sometimes the day before but the main key will only work when it’s officially open to the world.

sidenote# I hate doing long post cos of my grammar/spelling hope you understand most of the things that I am trying to say.

I too have ordered from them and hopefully i gt mine 24hours before it officially comes out,at least that's what it says.what the red print says is and i quote ***Please note we are not taking part in the beta testing event on the 24th March. You will not be receiving a pre order key code***.that has nothing to do with when the game actually comes out,belly flop and stealth you's might have understood wrong.

If I access the Track Order on Simply Games, I can click 'Cancel Order'. I payed with a Visa Credit Card, if I cancel my order.. will I get my money back? I'm pretty sure I will, but I'm just checking.

@Storm, the reason I pre-orderd it was because I wanted an actual Pre-Order box with items etc. And I'm not sure if my local game store is stocking them, and tbh I'm too lazy too find out. So I'm ordering online. At the wrong company. So now I want to order it at Gameplay.co.uk. But thanks for your answer. =D

Sorry i missed something?I dont think i ever said that they will not send you the game in time to play on the 28th i was just saying you will not have a chance to play the game on the 27th if you order from them. Even if you got your box on the 25/04/06 you could only play it on the 28/04/06.

If I am wrong again just blame it on my English it’s not my first or Second language, it’s my third now so the last 9 months

They have my VISA as well and i have cancel it (the game) but for sure i will keep an eye on the statement .

Gameplay.co.uk will send you a 2 Keys one for this weekend preview and one for early access to Guild Wars factions and this 2 in game weapons.

Check Game.net and gameplay.co.uk and compare what they are offering and this Pre-order pack it’s only available in Europe on the 31st of this month so i am still hopping that gameplay.co.uk will have them (j/k)

The red text DEFINATELY was not there when I ordered. And they added it without sending an e-mial or anything to all that ordered. This is not a company I will deal with again. Like everyone else I cancelled and have ordered from gameplay. Very quick (bit late now for the preview event though )

i was going to order from simplygames.. now however i think i'll go for game.net
but this thread has helped me unscramble most of the confusion that surrounded the pre-order pack, and for that i thank you.

Yay! Pre-ordered it at Game.net. Anyone know when I'm getting the pre-order key?

From what I read someone said that they order with game.net and they got the key 24h later...

I went with gameplay.co.uk cos of diff issues and got my key the next day.

Did you just order it?

Ordered it yesterday in the afternoon/evening, so that means I can expect it any time... yay!

I don't know if anybody else is looking to preorder Factions but I just went to my local Best Buy here in the states and I bet the had about 30 copies sitting on the shelf to buy. Just thought I would let you guys know in case you don't trust buying online or your in a hurry to get it.

Too bad they don't have Best-Buys in the Netherlands... :P

Sagaris, ik heb mijn versie bij http://www.gameorder.nl besteld, waar je je pre-order kit op een aparte CD-Rom erbij krijgt (dit is voor zover ik weet de enige Nederlandse site die de pre-order package op dit moment heeft - ik heb de pre-order nog nergens in de winkel zien liggen) dus wees er snel bij en bestel Guild Wars: Factions of Guild Wars: Factions (Collector's Edition) van http://www.gameorder.nl and selecteer dan als extra optie deze pre-order package. Dat wil dus zeggen dat je deze kit apart in je winkelwagentje moet zetten samen met je Guild Wars: Factions bestelling.

Wees er snel bij voordat ze allemaal op zijn! Ze gaan als warme broodjes aan het aantal bestellingen te zien.

PS2. Voor alle Belgen; volgens mij verscheept gameorder.nl ook naar België, dus check het maar even.

EDIT: Oeps, zag net je andere post Sagaris. Je hebt hem dus van Game.net? Hoe werkt dat nou dan precies met die pre-order key? Krijg je die via je mail toegestuurd en kun je dan die key invoeren op je account om de speciale eigenschappen/wapens te unlocken? Ik heb namelijk bij gameorder.nl m'n pre-order besteld en ik heb nog niets via m'n mail gekregen, ook al hebben ze m'n order en geld al binnengekregen. Het is mij nogal een raadsel hoe dat nu met die pre-order keys werkt.

Ja, ik heb hier meerdere verhalen gelezen dat je je pre-order key via mail of post (?) opgestuurd krijgt. Die voer je dan bij je account in.

Ok, I got an email saying that i succesfully ordered GW: Factions and that I could upgrade it to the CE. But no Pre-Order key. It didn't even say anything about Pre-Order in that mail.
