Hey guys,

sorry to spam this forum, but it just hit where where I know the Rt's dance from:

It's that dance the dance instructor in the cheerleader/romantic comedy movie Bring It On! wants to teach the girls.

The really funny part about it is that what he's doing with his hands at the beginning of the dance routine is called "spirit fingers" -- get it? Rt -> spirit spells -> spirit fingers *LOL*

Sorry, needed to share this amusing discovery (hope it hasn't already been posted -- if so: sorry!).

I don't think I've seen that movie, but the male ritualist is doing a perfect re-enactment of Napolean Dynomite's dance. They could be the same, of course...

No he's not. I just watched that piece of dreck last night, and it's not the same dance.

Perhaps it is a combination of both, but mostly Napoleon Dynamite?

I am pretty sure it is from "Bring It On!", but to make sure I'll check my DVD and post the result here.

BTW, it could be that they copied ND's dance in the movie, though I haven't got the slightest idea who NP is.

Yes it is, I've watched that dance scene at least 50 times. It is the same.

Are you talking "Bring It On" or "Napoleon Dynamite" here?

Okay, I just checked the "Bring It On!" DVD.

You guys were right, this isn't exactly the same dance, although it bears a certain resemblance (the beginning and the spirit fingers ).

As a European, I have never heard of "Napoleon Dynamite", but I guess it must be from there then. Is the funny choreograhoper from "Bring It On!" a parody of him?

In "Bring It On!" it's called spirit fingers. And "Bring It On!" is years older than "Napoleon Dynamite".

Like I said, at first it reminded me of "Bring It On!", since I never saw "Napoleon Dynamite".

So, "Napoleon Dynamite" must have stolen it from somewhere, since I am 100% certain that I've seen it before.

In any case, here's the video behind 'spirit fingers':
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ut0K1...irit%20fingers

That's definitely not what any of the GW characters are doing.. or Napoleon Dynamite.

I can't believe I'm seeing an argument of jazzhands or spirit fingers... Napoleon Dynamite or Bring It On.

Amusing, funny, and bizarre all wrapped into one!

I think the moves in the Napolean Dynamite dance are just pieces from various other dances made into one dance.
