The Final Exodus[FX]

I have a ATI radeon 9200 card, with 256 mgs of Ram, and have directX 9.0 installed.

Ive recently been away from my PC for a month or two and I wanted to update my video driver, so I did and every thing seemed to go smooth.

Then I started the game Guild Wars and before it could start I had a message saying "could not initialize 3D output" and gives me a link to the DirectX 9.0c DL.

Does anyone know what can fix this problem? I used system restore and it brought back the oroginal drivers, but I want to use the new frivers and play my game. PLZ any help would be apriciated

the 9200 isnt a directx 9 Card... so it will only use the directx 8 renderer...

however update your drivers, then download the Feb2006 editiion of the DirectX9c Redist, and install that.... should fix any problems..

You probably didn't have DirectDisplay renders enabled in dxdiag.

But installing it again enabled it automatically probably.

The problem is, that ALL the latest Radeon drivers (Catalyst 6.3) require DX9c to function correctly, and the correct way of installing it, is update the GFX drivers, and then (re)install DX9c
