I hear that people have found the use for rubies and sapphires to make jewels (imo a waste of money but w/e)
has anyone heard form gaile or saw in game if there is a use for monstrous items? Ive been stashing up on these things for about 7 months now and hope i dont have to wait till chapter 3 to find a use for them.
Anyone find the use?

Nope, though there prices have gone up. It seems the crafting material for l33t armor is Jade and Amber. But that seems for a different set because you get the material from faction, which is for PvP players. Maybe it or R/S will be used for the FoW expensive equilavent.

all i really care about is that the value goes up, since ive invested alot in them i hope to hit the jackpot if they do get a use. Also the Leviathon eye, claw, and mouth give me new hope of monstrous drops since each involve a monstrous item

I hope that the prices going to stay how they rae now, dont like the idea of ppl getting rich this way its just not cool.

with the introductionof Luxon and Kurzic Faction, faction itself is going to no longer be only PvP use anymore....
since a PvE player will be able to trade intheir faction fromone side or the other.....
i played more with a non guilded char and they wouldnt speak to me till i had a guild, so i dont know exactly what you trade in faction with the two sides for.

Yeah I've collected great deal of those monstrous and rubies&sapphires too and wonder every day how they waste storage space ...At least I haven't seen any clues about using those Yet unused materials, but considering Factions will come with numerous new (oooh can't wait) armours ...I keep my hopes up and try to steer away from that sweet temptation to start selling them.

um, cut ones, i would immagine...
they look almsot cut (i only have a saphire, i havent seen a ruby yet in game) but i would suspect that they needed to be GemCutter done and maybe even Polished befor they would become usefull....
perhaps they will be set into items to give slight bonuses or for purely decorative means...
or even used to pay-off the storeage traders ^^

theres gonna be this pimp npc in factions that makes dope Icy Grills for your character that uses rubies and jewels... and lots of platinums.

People have found the 15k and the 1.5k armour. A FoW/UW equivalent area has been anounced, so the "FoW" armour will probably require Sapphires/Rubies.

I bet they will have a use...and I bet it isnt for armor. (to predictable...maybe weapon upgrades or something)

if anet have any integrity involving their 'it might ruin the economy' policies then they wont let people get rich quickly off of rubies/sapphires. but then again they contradict themselves so much that i wouldnt put it past them to ignore their usual economy worries and let it slide
