Question about 15k Armor and how it relates to Luxon/Kurzick

Hello,

I've noticed that on several threads, people have posted pictures of the Kurzick 15k armor crafter. All the armor appears to look the same (based on icon) - Is this because it is like the Obsidian (FoW) armor in Tyria, or just because the Devs haven't created each specific set? Does this mean (for example ranger armor: Frostbound and Pyrebound will look the same?)

Also, I've only seen the Kurzick crafter pictures. Therefore, another question of mine is -- do the 15k armors for Luxon look the same as the 15k armor for Kurzicks? Let's say I have the Ritualist set that gives +8 energy on the chest. If I buy the 15k Luxon version, will the exact same piece, except Kurzick, look the same? Or different?

And if they look different, can I still get one? Let's say my guild is allied with the Kurzicks, but I really like Luxon armor. Can I switch over and get the armor without leaving my guild? I haven't played this weekend, so I don't know how the alliances work. Any info would be appreciated

Thanks!

From the ones I've seen, I'd -assume- that whether the armor is Luxon or Kurzick makes no difference, and the appearance is tied to the armor itself (i.e. Nightstalket 15k is different from Valyrie 15k). I assume this because 1) there is no difference between Luxon and Kurzick 1500g armor, and 2) the 15ks I have seen bear a strong resembalance to their 1500g counterparts.

Actually, the armor was very different for Luxon and Kurzick. I doubt the sets will all continue to look the same (especially after seeing this) but I think there will be a difference between sides. The Kurzick Ranger armor was kind of like the rawhide set from the original GW , and the Luxon Ranger armor was kind of like the original drakescale set. I don't have the actual pictures of the new armors from both sides (just Kurzick) but you get the idea. I'm hoping they bothered to call it Frostbound Kurzick Ranger Armor and Frostbound Luxon Ranger Armor because it will look different depending on which faction you're in.

Plus, from one of the IGN articles out there, it sounds like each set of armor will have a Luxon and Kurzick version, and the versions will be based on the fashion styles (nomadic vs elaborate) and materials (jade vs amber, etc) of the two sides.

Perhaps there will be 4 different armor sets per class, a Luxon and Kurzick version per set, (8 regular sets to choose from) and then 4 15K sets with a Luxon and Kurzick version of each of those too, for 16 new armor sets altogether! Worst case, 4 new sets, same appearance for each side, and 4 15K sets. Still nice.

I think most likley armor skins will stay the same all Kurzick and Luxon armor of the same profession will look the same. Developing skins for each armor type seems like a huge investment in time considering that they seemed to be including sets with stats similar to Chapter 1. With 6-8 Armor Types and considering they would have to make differrent Luxon and Kurzick sets that would mean they would have to make 4x the armor in chpater 2 than chapter 1.

They already had Luxon and Kurzick versions of the armor in the pe, so I doubt it will take them extra work, since its already there.

And the 15k did look different than the 1.5k version in the pe.
