I've been reading alot of things on Guru and Wiki about damage and armor modifiers, and everyone seems to have their own opinion.
First I'd like to get answered is if I use, for example, Ascalon Helmet, which reduce damage by 1, would it reduce damage that hit your head only or your whole body? I heard both stories, and I dont know which one is true.
Second, how true is this article:

Does your weapon do more damage if you have 13 or more attribute points in it?
I've heard alot of people screaming that is not true, but then again, I see it posted on guru site.
I need few elite players to confirm this please.

Ascalon and Knight's armors have a global damage reduction of 2.
I'm not sure about the second question for the same reason you don't know.

methinks armour reduction is global, because back when winterday's arena was open, you could get hit for 46 i think ( sup abs + armour reducing from my boots ) ( i worefull glads except dwarven helmet and knight's boots, wich are the same as ascalon boots )
yes, your weapon will do more damage, just look at the skills..they'll do more +XX dmg if you have 16 axe

damage reduction from knights and ascalon is both 2 (if you have the piece from the max set...a non max piece gives 1) and it is global.
You do more damage the higher your weapon attribute reguardless of weapon requirement. weapon requirement does not affect your damage/crit chance/anything.
(edit: infact its in that article how much more you deal...)
That article is exact.
