Running to Grotto

I recently learned how to run with my ranger. I now run all over Kryta and north Shieverpeaks. Last night i was practicing run to Grotto from Thunderhead keep. I know there is 2 ways, left=Ice Imps and Right=Mursaat.
In my guild people told me not to go throught mursaat and go through ice imps. I tried both ways. When i go through Ice imps i die pretty fast (even with mantle of frost) but when i go through Mursaat i actually get to Grotto in front of grottos door there is about 50 Mursaat guys, and Spectral agony always kills me, but from there i always resurect near Grotto's door and just run in, cuz the place where i resurect is out of Mursaat aggro zone)

Now my question is: is it actually ok to charge people 1 or 2k for THAT kind of run? when i do runs for tips (anywhere i run....) people just leave when map loads, so i cant really judge by it.
I did that about 50 times, always I die in end but rez in front of grotto door.

It's always ok to charge people money instead of just tips. In fact, I suggest doing so in long runs and runs in south shiverpeaks.

I usually charge 200g each. Its one of the shortest and easiest runs in the whole game, which is why I feel you cant really justify asking for 1-2k. My Mo/R does it with Storm Chaser, Mending, and Spell Breaker.

I ran myself (from THK I believe) with my ele using just armor of mist. I got close enough (with henchies) and miraculously after we got waxed by the imps we restored at the shrine just outside Grotto

I run for tips with my Mo/W with Breaker, Rush and Sprint o_O.
Yes it's a very easy and short run. Half of the people will tip me, most being around the 500g mark, sometimes 1k, sometimes 2k. Quarter of the people won't pay, which im fine with cause the run is quite easy. The other quarter will leave without a kthxbai or saying anything once we get to grotto.

When i run for tips, I usually get more customers than people who charge 1k for runs.

Running with my monk has become my main money maker now. Up to about 20k an hour and less tedious than farming.

i was woundering because from droks people run to Grotto for ALOT of k, lol. and in THK some looking for runners, but i didnt know what to charge...

me too i prefer runing... farming gets anoing sometimes. specially cuz i dont have a warior to solo, so i can pretty much solo only with my 55 monk, or IDS runs (which are hard and not very returning). and especially, because runing is something not everyone can do, its even more fun.
