It's not that hard that you need 6. Really it isn't. There are no "if x dies your mission fails conditions" to the quest. You die, you rez at the shrine. I did it as a Warrior with a half useless build (used same build for DNKP, which I did directly before Titan Source - worked great there). Joining me were two Mesmers and a Monk. I think we all died maybe 3x, most before we even got to the Titan's, so we worked off the DP (or some used Candy Canes, IIRC).
