Me and a friend just started new monks and he is a Mo/Me and i was planing on being a Mo/Me too but i was thinking since we are gonna be doing this together i can wondering what would be better in the long run..
I know Mo/Me have good energy managment and stuff but i was wondering what a Mo/N does besides the OoB. I mean i wont get OoB till over half way through the game so i dunno if it would be very good without OoB.
Mo/Me or Mo/N

Expectation for monks to heal in PvE.
Lack of runes to boost elemental damage.
Reduced damage output and reduced healing as a result of splitting points between healing, Divine Favor, element of your choice (you are useless to your party as you are ineffective at both).
Plenty of monks already have a hard time dealing with energy when healing or protecting only. You want them to use 10-25 energy spells as well while they're busy trying to keep a party up? Nightmarish.
Is that sufficient, or shall you be needing more?
That being said...there are uses for a Mo/E such as the infamous Divine Spirit + Glyph of Renewal combination. Just not "nuking."
Also, Mo/W: A non-55 monk should not be tanking. Kiting is your friend.

You can always use glyph of elemental power to emulate a major rune if you want more damage. This way you can cast spells at level 14.
I like monk/elementalist the most because you can add powerful spells to the mix
Monk/ranger: Symbiosis works well if you use alot of enchantments say if you play as a protector monk or have the protector henchmen in your party this is a good spirit.

| Bonettis takes a lot of hits to charge without Balthazar's Spirit, I really don't think this is a good idea. You can always help with your wand/staff but i agree with your statement. Bonetti is better in pvp. |

Can't understand why wuold monk nuke also, healing/prottin itself requires as many skill slots i can give for it (8- [one to three energy managements]), so nuking wuold take good skill slots.
12+2 divine, prot 9+1, and fire magic 9???? this monk wuold never have enough energy and/or damage. fire magic 12, prot 9+1, divine 9+1: never enough energy and/or healing.
Just create mo/me and u will be happy
