Game got their facts wrong..or does the CE give an additional character slot?

I also emailed game about this, and they have replied

'Yes preordering the Collectors Edition of 'Guild Wars : Factions' will add another character slot to the Standard Edition you currently have preordered.


So... Opinions?

I wonder if they are confusing merging the accounts give you extra slots?

If this is true i am glad i switched mine to the CE a few weeks ago

Nope, one of the early pre-order had this info before Anet did an official list of the pre-order contents.

that page is wrong and hasnt been updated in a long time.
i remember some other place displaying that exact same listing but it was updated once the pre-orders started to take place.

Yeah, got that one 2 hours ago aswell.... switched mine to a CE, don't ask my why. I was hoping for a pre-order key in that mail, but no. :P

Send them this link, and tell them to get their facts straight before lying to anyone. I did to my store, and they updated the page like 10 mins after.

anyone know how big the book is gonna be? or is it going to be the same as the Prophecies CE book, how boo....boo.

hmmm i have an weird question about the plus 2 slots. Will the 2 slot be on the preorder or will u have to wait till u get the box from dealer?
If we have to wait till we get box for an access code to add 2 slot then wtf is the use for the preorder?
This question came to my mind when they said that u had to invite yourself and make an temp account for pve factions
I will ask the Gw support about this.

The point for getting the pre-order is to get the special items and have an early access the day before the game is released, plus to reserve a CE if you wanted it. You will only get the 2 slots once you have the game.

lol this sucks then cause i can get preoder when the dealers throw them out ; like last time i got bestbuy one and censor icon one free

i hope atleast they will let me transfer my old character 24hrs beofre release so i can farm ^_^

That email sounds really weird. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it almost sounded too weird to be legit.

Even though I doubt a phishing scam got hold of your pre-order information, it might be worth it to check if there are any reported scams like this going on with pre-order packages for any games.

I don't know. I don't know what Game is, or what their operating policies are, but just getting an email like that (with a link included in the email, presumably?) with what boils down to "Click here to upgrade!" sounds really fishy.

Game is arguably the biggest video game retailer in the UK, the email is legit, as alot of people i know who had preordered with them also got it.

Yes you can, a lot of people me included will be in Cantha with my Prophecies characters for the head start. I don’t have an extra slot nor do I want to delete my characters.
