Those go for ~2-3k to 55 monks. They switch to them after they have died and rez'ed bringing them from 0 hp to around 63 hp for a second run.

yes I know, and 55 monks buy ones that match their reqs (like divine/prot/healing/smiting) so they get the full energy

A Divine req one would sell for more then 2-3k though since, as you say, they would benfit from the energy. But divine -20 offhands are hard to come across, which is why I see these selling all the time for 2-3k. Might not be worth 2-3k but thats what they sell at.

sell at? or people trying to sell one? have you ever sold or witnessed an actually sale for 2-3k between one of these? people spam items for 20k doesn't mean they ever actually sell.
