Power Leveling
Bernie M
Hello. I've been playing this game for some time and dont' understand the point of power leveling. Can you not just level regularly by playing the missions, quests, without having to "power Level"? These players are usualy in Drok's as a very low level looking for someone to level them. someone please clue me in! Thanks.

Powerleveling exists (to some extent) in all rpg/mmo type games. Basicly it is for people who are rich enough that they can have someone else play through the game for them. This means that they have probably played through the game at least once before. Although it it somewhat frowned upon by some, I must admit that i had my most recent character (a warrior) ran and powerleveled.

They don't care to spend the time playing through the game normally. Most of them already have played through the game at least once and just want level 20 characters without the hassle.

I always thought of it as a rich person paying someone to go to the gym and work out for them.

Haha, rich people paying someone to go to the gym to workout for them, that's pretty funny. But I don't see the point of powerleveling. Running to droks I can understand, but once there, it's not hard to level by just grabbing a few henches and go outside to kill. Or if that's too slow, my most recent warrior was ran to the desert and then simply ascend for a huge level boost.

Because you can level much faster when one person kills everything for you than when 7 someones do. The math is pretty simple. Instead of an 8 way split, you get a 2 way. With scrolls and burst exp, its a lot simpler to pay someone, get a 30 second scroll, and have them kill a bunch of trolls all at once.
Henchies can't do it, and its much quicker. Thats why power levelling.
