strange question about -50hp offhand and Factions

Please allow me to set my question up.

My 4 slots are all farming characters, so I can't really delete one for a new character. I built them all early into the game, and didn't realize I should have saved those -50hp offhands, so there's no going back and getting one.

With Factions, I get 2 new slots. I'd really like to birth them in Cantha, but I know I can eventually take them to LA. Could I backtrack all the way to that very-soon-after-searing quest that gives it?

Meaning this: does LA directly connect to whichever town you get that quest in, or does some mission pose a one-way path to it that you can't reverse on?

I think once you get to LA/Marketplace, you can switch back and forth as much as you want. The quest should be there, because I'm pretty sure it wasn't implemented until after I ascended. However, I was still able to go back and do the quest with all my characters.

can you run from LA to Ascalon?

You can indeed.

EDIT: You can always also buy them from players. Spending 5k might be easier..

I see a new and less frowned upon business blooming. Running from LA to Ascalon.

I would suggest just buying them..It's a heck of a lot cheaper and faster.

Even if you do not want to play through Ch2 till ascended and then able to get to LA you can still create a charcter that starts in pre sear Ascalon and then leave to post and do the quest.
I've done it a couple of times and it does not take that long to do.

But as others said, its easier just buying one.

It's only like 3-4k in Droknar's Forge. People would probably charge like 5k to go from LA to Ascalon. O w8, I don't think anybody does that...

Think I'll start practicing those LA to Ascalon runs.

La to ascalon is easy peasy run.But if you get on the scene first taking teams of 5 others you could make some good cash.

-50 hp in Drok's go for more like 5k to 10k... so it is really a matter of how much is your time worth. If you find it below 5k you got yourself a really good deal.

Once you know what you're doing, it's not that hard to create a new character (once you get the extra Factions character slots) in Ascalon, level up a bit, grab some skills and hop over to post-searing for a few more quests. Grab the henchies, get the -50hp offhand, put it in storage and delete the character. Only took me a few hours to do it when I decided I wanted one for my monk. :P

You can run back to Ascalon but you can not do the quests from before Kryta.
So you can not get the item with a Canthan character.
Nor can you get the skills from quest before Kryta.
