how do i uninstall??

how did you guys uninstall the game?
when i went into the guild folder there is one Gw file, one Gw icon, and 1 gw.tmp file. when i boot the cd, there is no uninstall button there either.

  1. Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs.
  2. Select 'Guild Wars' in the list and click the 'Change/Remove' button.
  3. Select 'Uninstall Guild Wars'.

Or you could simply delete that Guild Wars folder. Those are the only game files that are installed. I know this because I backed up the directory to my second computer when I formatted my desktop. I copied all the files back over when all was said and done, and into a different directory then where it was originally installed. I was able to run the game which would suggest no other files are required by it.

Of course the cleaner way would be as the above poster suggests, as it will remove the entry from the Add/Remove programs list as well.

Just do that. It gets rid everything the computer thinks it has.

Indeed there are registry entries, I just checked this out on my notebook. There isn't really anything special about the registry entries I saw though. I would guess that apon first running the game that if those entries aren't there it simply creates them. Those registry entries couldn't have survived the re-format I did with my desktop system.
