Try simply re-installing the game? In case it is some rare form of game file corruption...
Else I'd be inclined to think graphics card. In which case make sure the graphics card is compatible with Guild Wars (though getting that far I should think so). Or perhaps looking at updating, or even downgrading (in the case of most recent) drivers. Whatever you do, don't use beta drivers for graphics, there is no advantage.

List your PC Specs?
Probably your Graphics Card though, or a simple re-install.
What's your Processor, RAM and Graphics card? Check by clicking Start, Run, then "dxdiag". Graphics card information will be under the 'Display' tab, the rest will be on the first tab it opens.

Beta version drivers are drivers that for all intent and purpose function with a given graphics card. However they are no officially released and quite often haven't undergone any extensive testing to ensure compatibility with different hardware configurations. They are usually quite clearly labelled at websites when you go to download updated drivers.
I do know that is a fairly old graphics card, but again I assume since you could get that far into the game that it is a supported card. Or if someone can speak to the contrary, please do so.

Right-click your Desktop, go onto Properties, go to the 'Settings' tab, click Advanced, then go on the nVidia or GeForce Tab, find some settings and find 'Image Quality', make sure the slider is all the way to the right.
Also, you should be fine, it's just your graphics card isn't exactly very good, but you should be able to play it, probably with all settings to minimum/lowest though. Try www.nvidia.com and go on Downloads, then Drivers and find a driver in the Archive suitable for your card.
Although try re-installing first.

Put it back to 32, lol.
Try upgrading/downgrading Graphics Card drivers from www.nvidia.com.
Look in the Driver archive here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html
And try a few out.

I have had similar problems with Nvidea drivers. Sometimes when I run in full screen, it goes all brown. Hasnt been a problem lately though. Try updating your drivers. If that dosent work, run in windowed mode.
blackpawn
you could also try going into the graphics advanced options and uncheck "post process" also could try running gw with "gw.exe -dx8"

Sometimes I get this - it's not a big problem. Restart the computer and it should be fine.

i've restarted my comp twice
reinstalled the game
updated the driver
and didn't fix the problem.
anything else i should try?

If all else fails, why not try using unofficial drivers? I've had no complaints about omegadrives tweaked drivers.

A. Seriously Update your drivers, according to your screen shot your are using version 28.90(last four digits in driver revision). At the very least the 77.** version available from Nvidia website would be infinatley better.
B. Make sure you have DirectX 9.0C installed on your machine, BUT scroll up and try blackspawns suggestion and force the game to use the DX8 extensions, since that card will never use the DX9 capabilities (but Windows will)
C. ABSOLUTELY make sure that you are using NONE of the AntiAliasing and Antrioscopic Filtering (non)capabilities of that card either through your settings screens or within guildwars. I owed a Ti4400 for years and found the AA and AF settings to be of no use in games of that era, never mind games created years later than when that card was new
