Recently, I have not been playing Guild Wars, but now I want to again. I have 2 different characters (normally, now I have only 1), Haldamir the Pumped, Level 20 W/Mo and Hotty Blonde, a level 8 E/Mes. However when I checked today, I found only 1 character in my selection screen, Hotty Blonde. I then decided to ask people to invite Haldamir The Pumped to their friend's list to determine whether he is real or not. Everyone said he didn't exist. Also, I decided to invite my other character too. It said that I can't invite your own player as a friend. I've NEVER given my password to any other player and have never downloaded anything effecting that game. In addition, I never have made other players angry or cursed. What should I do? Is there an explanation for this? Do characters get deletedd if they aren't used for awhile? PLEASE HELP ME

You could make your case to Arena Net Support. However I wouldn't hold fast to hope; I have yet to here a story where a lost anything has been restored. I can't very well blame them either, if they open that door once it'll become a flood of mostly dark waters.

I do not believe characters get deleted for being inactive. I took a good 3 to 4 month holiday from this game and when I came back all was as it was supposed to be.

The first thing I would do is change my password if I thought anyone may have been using my account.

As for your lost character...it's probably gone forever.

You may have created this character during the server rollback period, which would explain why they disappeared... I think.

no

level 20

not been playing

check for spywary esp keyloggers/trojans,

http://www.pctools.com/en/spyware-doctor/

is top rated by pc magazine and the scan is free and you download the program to your pc

http://www.webroot.com/

is also very highly rated and the free scan button is to the right side of the page

http://www.zonelabs.com/store/conten...n&lid=nav_z a

this is the top rated firewall which is also free for personal home use

EDIT

after making sure your pc is clean do this

create a new email address using the full number of characters allowed and use random numbers/letters making your account email a password

use the full 16 characters allowed on your account password.

then put your password into the target line of your desktop shortcut so keyloggers cant see it.

this also allows instant automatic login as well.

no typing passwords again.

A note to players:

As you may be aware, we experienced some technical issues that resulted in the need to conduct an approximately one-hour roll-back of Guild Wars on Monday, March 13th. What prompted our decision to do the roll-back was the fact that the game economy was at risk, because during a brief window of opportunity, a huge number of items had been purchased for ridiculously low prices. This infusion of items into the economy would have devalued all the items in the game, and would have crippled the game economy.

We have an absolute commitment to take whatever means are necessary to protect the game economy, and by extension, to protect the items that you possess on your account. We apologize for any inconvenience that the roll-back may have caused.

We will continue to investigate the situation to assure that a repeat of today’s incident does not take place.

Thank you for your understanding,

The Guild Wars Team

The weird thing is that when I try to add my old chraacter to my friend's list (just in case someone else was using it), it says I cannot add myself as friend. Is that what's supposed to happen?

Have you tried to make a new "Haldamir the Pumped"? Will GW let you?

When I tried to make a new character with the same name, GW accepted it.

If this is so, then it looks like your old character got deleted somehow.

Nothing you can do about it anyway except level him back up.
