I can guarantee you that there will be some sort of way to give our "old" characters Assassin or Ritualist secondary professions.

Anymore than that, I have no idea.

thats what id think as well but something so simple might be overlooked..since you can create a lvl 20 char in factions with the secondary of you choice.. it might not be something developers consider

First off, by 'cantha' I'm pretty sure you mean Prophecies. I'm confident that there will be NPCs with profession-changing quests somewhere in Factions.

you did read that the level 20 starting character was for the weekend event only?

any new character you make will start out at level 1 in either presear or the monearary in Factions.

I wonder if there will be an option to change your secondary to assassin /ritualist like there is in the cantha campaign ?

( the three dessert towns in cantha)
Dude, there are no desert towns in Cantha that are known. And you mean start a character in Prophecies. You must be talking about Tyria, which is in Prophecies.

Yeah, Cantha is the new continent in which Factions will take place.

Guild Wars

Wow, not only can't find the Factions FAQ, but gets the continents confused.

Anyway, in the FAQ, which I suggest you read, it says there will be a place to change 2ndary to A or Ri.

Correcting someone that is making a mistake which is/may confuse other people is not asinine. While there's one post that's sort-of close to condescending, nobody is really being a jackass either...

What are the advantages of adding my Factions access key to my Guild Wars (original Prophecies campaign) account?

When you add the retail version of Guild Wars Factions to your existing account, your existing characters gain full access to the Prophecies content. You can travel back and forth between continents, gathering new skills and items from both, using skills you find on one continent to help you complete quests and missions on the other continent. Your existing characters can choose to take Assassin or Ritualist as a secondary profession, or you can create a new Assassin or Ritualist character and then travel back to the continent of Tyria to play missions from the original Prophecies campaign with that character. You can create PvP characters using a mix of professions, skills, and items from both campaigns, and have access to the widest possible array of strategies for PvP.
So that means the characters you have now can change to those professions when you get Factions.
