Dyes More Common Now?

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but starting yesterday evening, I was getting tons of dye drops. At least, many many more than I usually do. I could say that dyes used to drop maybe once every 200 drops for me. I don't know if that's what it is for the rest of you or not, but now they're dropping much much more often. Around one is every thirty-five to fifty drops is a dye. Most of them are orange and silver, but I've been getting greens too.

Was this on purpose? Or am I just getting insane luck? The thing is, is my friend is noticing the same thing as he's gotten many more dye drops today and yesterday.

Most of the dyes I (and my friend) got were on the Gates of Kryta mission where we farm the lightning drakes. I really hope this won't end in the mass droppage of all dye prices, because the last thing we need right now, is another commodity to go down the drain. *cough* ectos *cough*

I'm also getting crazy amounts of dye drops. Quite a few of the "blah" colours like purple and orange and red and the lot. I picked up four silver dyes in four consecutive B/P runs of ToPK, though, while lots of the other colours dropped like candy for other players.

It's not just you, it's quite a few people. :o

Cool! Glad to hear that someone else is sharing in the wealth. Looks like I can finally make the appropriate colour dyes for my armour without spending TONS at the trader. :P

I advertised once in LA to buy 2 Silver Dyes, and ended up having to inform about 4 people that 700-900 each was rediculous, that the trader was selling for 550.

I noticed that aswell i was helping a guild member yesterday in pre and got 2 yellow 1 blue and 1 silver and this was all in a space of 2 hours. i sold the silver but still have the other and cant post if you dont belive plus i am only lv3 so no charr farm for me.

yeah dyes are raining down from the heavens now...i was on a simple troll cave run, and in 2 runs i got 1 black dye, 1 blue dye, and 1 purple dye

You must be having all my dyes as I regularly I had a drop (silver was a common drop for me)
But recently nothing

It does seem like I've been getting more dye drops lately. I went on a FoW run last night and got a purple, green, and yellow in the space of about three hours. And I've seen tons of dye drop in Tombs, though I haven't actually gotten much out of there.

Though strangely, silver dye has been really common for me ever since I started playing. I've probably gotten more silvers than any other color. Which is good, because I use it the most; every one of my characters' armor sets uses at least two silvers in it.

I am testing colours on my Monk's costume. Have tried a black, but it turned into gray. Now I will try a black and silver combination. I'm not having much luck lately on dye drops, but I do have noticed that goes up and down. One day I find all colours, the other day I find nothing.

I've been moving a character through Pre-. He's gotten a bunch of drops, I think in total six different colors with some of those duplicated. Unfortunately the missing colors are black and silver.

And my rate of dye drops in Post- has been up too.

Keep track on the district favor. When your district wins the pvp favour, there are most likely to be better drops. So, when Europe wins the favour, I must get more drops. Certainly there will be dyes amongst them.
Do not change from Europe to America, to beat the system. Eventually it will bar you from changing districts. Suffice to say there is a 50% chance you will not be happy, in a region that is not yours.

I think dye drops are way up. the drop in merch price shows that. Also the fact i got 5 black dye drops last week is another sign i think.

I totally noticed an increase. Up until a week ago I could had two dye drops after a month of playing. Now, I have 6 dyes, all new, all dropped in the past week.

Seems that I am getting fewer silver but a lot more of the other colors (black still very rarely)

Of course you do know that when a region wins favor its to gain access to FOW/UW right? Having favor does not improve your drops whatsoever. It's random. Correct me if I'm wrong.
