The Assasin : Divine Aura, opinions?

The Divine Aura, in all professions and sex' there is a glowing effect which FOLLOWS BOTH hands and leaves trails behind it.

However, on the new Assasin profession the glowing star like effect is static and does not leave a trail.

Additionally, for the female Assasin, the star in her right hand does NOT follow her hand, rather it sits by her thigh dislocated from hand, and does not follow.

This to me appears to be a bug of somekind, or rather, not working as it should given what we know about all the other Divine Aura Effects.

However, when questioned about it, Gaile seemed to think it was intentional...

Now you cant really go into a proper discussion with gaile about this, and when such an attempt was made she thought we were asking for the ability to turn OFF the DA.

so I have 3 opinions about the DA for the Assasin.

A) It looks crap on the assasin!.. compared to the Ritualist it looks dull and made in a hurry.

B) The Female version looks like its bugged, or not working properly.. based on the fact that on every other proffesion and sex (even the male assasin) the 'effect' FOLLOWS BOTH hands, as opposed to one of the hands remaining suspended in the air.

C) If in fact this IS intentional and working as it should, then I am utterly disappointed, and for the first time I would actually WANT to turn the DA OFF!

Opinions?

Well, i'm a fan of the ritualist's aura.

Then, theres the assasains.It isn't good at all.It's plane and simple.
But then again, thats what they put.

If I remember right, I remember that assassin glow sometimes leave a faint smoke trail.

While the positioning... not sure why it is like that, technically they shouldn't have any problem making it directly on the hand.

Perhaps they are using old model data for the glowing effect, while assassin female model are completely new, especially poportion-wise.

Oh well, now let's see if they will fix this.

I can't remember seeing a smokey effect.Is it really visible?

well, at least I dont feel so alone now..

But then, its been nearly a year since GW:CE was out, and with no DA for 'Factions-CE", us Divine Aura peeps are in the strict minority and probably dont have a big enough voice to urge ANET to put a bit more effort into it

it has a smokey effect, and the "shuriken" like star thing moves with the hands on every other emote.

I must admit I never noticed this 'smokey effect'.. I'll look closer at my videos.

the other emotes are just copies, its the /dance emote which is new and the only one we care about really

I missed the smoke the first few times I saw the aura, I guess because it blended into the background too much. I did spot it over the weekend though and think it need to be a bit stonger.

The ritualist aura is cool btw

DA is just broken for the female assasain, they'll fix it.

But I got the feeling that the DA effect wasn't done yet, and the red stars were placeholders for the real effect. I could be wrong.

there was an announcement that said the dance in the event was not the final release dance so i have hopes.

lets see what comes out with retail

in anycase I've order the CE of factions where they have special dances..

I wonder if they will replace the original dance or will there be a second dance emote?

it said there will be so called backup dancers that appear with you

also the dance has enhansed moves

since i am merging with chapter 1CE i get divine aura on top as well.

checked it on the weekend and the new classes have aura as well

I was pretty disappointed in it as well. But everyone in town told me to STFU and be happy with what they give me...

hopefully what we saw then will not be what we wind up with.

they did state clearly that the retail would be improved.

Ignore them, they are just jealous that they dont have DA.
