Rant on 50/50

Sorry but i am just fed up with the stupidity of people, all of a sudden some retards have made up a mathematical equation for 50/50 ecto drops, it goes something as follows.

for the 4 months i have been farming UW i have never ever seen this method of 50/50 until about a week ago. And i have been called a scammer, a hacker, a noob, and various other names, i have even been reported! yet not banned. basically, i used to say, "55 or SS lf a ss/sv or 55 with brains for 50/50 farming" depending on what char i was using at the time.... now i get a ss who constantly is getting too close to aatxes and aggroing monsters, and doing completely random noobish things, then when an ecto drops for me at the start of smites, i say woot, start to type out "okay you get the next one" then i stop when these words come up on screen. " YOU OWE ME 3K!!!!" and have a trade window on my screen, my general reply is,"uhhhh excuse me?" and they repeat it and a heated argument follows, basically the highlight of it is me getting called a noob and not knowing what 50/50 is and me calling them a moron and saying that 50/50 has never ever been like that and me explaing how it has always been, and that i never agreed to your stupid method. then it ends with me pulling coldfires on to them and going to get some chests, (they were purple )

What a retard. I actually don't mind 50/50 or not either way. If like 10 ectos drop in one run and they all drop for the other dude, I'll be annoyed, but let the dude keep those ten ectos without a fuss.

as a 55 and ss/sv i would have to disagree with you, it would only seem logical split the odd ecto both the 55 and the necro put their time and money to get something out of uw.

the only thing thats wrong when ppl scream for 3k right after 1 ecto has dropped, i personally wont split an ecto after it drops, ill wait for the run to finish then half the odd ecto ... if someone doesnt like it they are free to leave...

but the worst thing thats happeing in toa atm are the asian 55s, they do not take sb with em but soj, after opening the door they run for the smites leaving the necro behind. when that happens they kill the smites getting all the dropps for themselfs as the necro is too far from action.

this had happend to me once, but i have sneaked past the first mob after the door and made my way towards the asian scammer where he was killing the smites at the time... when he killed them smites started dropping stuff for me, i guess he didnt like it too much as he grabbed some colds and tried to kill me, with me being on the ball i started running back towards the first mob .... colds have turned away so he grabs couple of bladed and again starts chasing me, only a moment later to end up dead.... i laughed so hard... he nautuarly left and i went back to collect my drops...

so beware all ss/sv ... if a 55 just invites u without talking to you and has a asian name, avoid them... or if u see some1 not using sb, cut ur loses and leave...

OMG we dont go around in a 8 man group and say lets give 1/8 of every item to each player, its the same with UW you should keep what's yours and other way around, its like going to UW and find a bulwark and say hey 1/8 thats 10k of it its mine !!!!, its just stupid.

yeah, i like to keep it fair and simple, 3k is ripping off the person who it drops for, its like charging the person to farm, and a lot of the time i pay entrance fee so if i had to give the person 3k everytime i get ecto first i'd be basically giving the ss 4k. and thats not fair...

I split any uneven ecto drops at the end of the trip, not with each drop. That's just wasting time when you can be killing more smites.

My regular UW partner and I do a 50/50 on ecto drops. Once in UW we don't talk about who the ecto belongs when one drops, we seem to keep a mental tally of who gets the ecto. If one drops for either of us, the next automatically goes to the other. So if I pick one up and the next one is assigned to me again, I pick up and drop it and let him know that there's an ecto for him so he doesn't miss it. If the following one is assigned to him, he'll pick up and drop it for me and so on and so on. If after the last run for the day and one of us has one extra ecto, it doesn't matter as the next time we goto UW, the other will get the first one that drops and it continues on.

We have a great partnership. We don't even split the cost of the fee to get into UW, he has actually paid more times than I have. At the end of the day, it's just a game and we do UW ecto runs for fun. Arguing about the cost of entry and ecto drops will just ruin the fun.

Myself and various of my Guildie Necromancers often two-man UW, and basically, whenever I start doing it with a new person, they get the first Ecto and I keep a list of who got it last. We also take turns to pay the entrance fee. It works really well because there's hardly ever any confusion, and if there is, I just let them have the first Ecto again .

You do know that rant thread's are highly reguarded as "stab material" and are frowned upon?

and the comment about splitting it 1/8, of course you dont do that, its plain retarded, in uw you split ectos to keep it fair, but i disagree with all these noobs jumping on the bandwagon and doing a poor job and trying to introduce a new (stupid) system, cant they just RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing wait and pick up the next one??

Well, generally I avoid PuGs for this very reason, however I do go with them yes, but I avoid it if I can. UW farming used to be somthing that well.."The leetest leet" would do, but now its grown so big that pretty much anyone with a necro and a 55 monk can do it. With people like this, you just say, we do it my way or I leave, they call you a scammer/hacker/ whatever, just ignore them, and if they report you, they are only making themselfs look stupid, and when arenanet looks at that report, they will laugh at him, not ban you.

My advice, stay away from pugs, and add good SS necro's, and they do suck.......leave.

As for the entree difference? Well....Typically you get your gold back simply from gold drops alone, and if not, from the whites/bllues that drop and selling those to merchant.
