Beating Doppleganger at level 5?

I'm trying some stuff out, and I have come to a challenge. I must now beat my doppleganger. Problem is, I'm a level 5 Mesemer/Elementalist. My doppleganger kills me in 1 melee hit. Any suggestions as to how I could beat it? If not, what do you think the minimum level I should do it is?

I found that using Physical Resistance and Empathy works fairly well. You could also run Armor of Earth to boost your defense (and a few other Earth enchants, too). Distortion may help, but at level 5, the energy cost will suck, lol. Plus you'd need Physical Resistance anyway.

And stay out of melee range. If you don't move, he'll continue to plink at you with arrows.

Actually, yes. Try...

Physical Resistance, Empathy, Armor of Earth, Grasping Earth, Kinetic Armor, Clumsiness, and possibly Ineptitude if possible. At level 5, the attri points will be rough, but you could probably keep Inspiration at 0. The physical resistance doesn't improve with higher levels, only the duration. Try to get Empathy has high as it can go, and pump up Earth magic, too. Dump the rest of those points into Illusion.

You know what, forget Illusion. You don't have enough attri points, heh. Attri points are as follows:

Fast Casting: 1+1 (Minor rune)
Domination magic: 5+2 (Minor+hat)
Inspiration magic: 1+1 (Minor)
Earth magic: 2

It's late for me, so I'm not entirely coherent, but I think that's your best shot.

Grr...beat me to it and you put attributes up too : O.Well anyways if you happen not to have the energy for physical resistance or armor of earth, just strafe the arrows a lil bit with the e and q key till you got the energy but then you still have to cast it quite quickly to survive so Id put up physical before Armor of Earth.

Oh yah and how did you beat the mission with the 5 or so bosses? Not dragon's lair but I think Thirsty River?Im trying to beat it with my lvl 12 monk but henchies aren't doing enough dmg output against the monk boss.
