Plasma Sword?

I saw a person in old ascalon server 1 advertising that he had a Plasma Sword(Halo 2? lol). He was selling it for 45k but he said he wanted 1k from everyone who wanted to see it. I was just wondering if there was a such thing as a plasma sword and if there is would anyone happen to have any pics? Thnx

I seem to remember seeing such a thing on one of the collectors way out in the Dragon's Gullet. As I recall, it didn't look like anything special, and its stats were really very mundane- certainly not worth even 1k, unless you're one of those people with money enough to get hammered on dwarven ale every 30 minutes. Of course who knows, maybe they changed all that in one of the patches. The sword, that is, not the money and drinking thing.

I didn't? Pretty sure I did. It was a good while ago(month or so), and it was one of the Dragon's Gullet collectors. Maybe I'll do a run out that way just to see if it really is around out there...

The collector in Dragon's Gullet *does* have an item called a Plasma Sword. It's got low damage and no special graphic. Only the name is interesting.

Easy enough to find out....just get 3 tar behemoth jaws from the creatures in Dragon's Gullet and have a look for yourself. IIRC it does electrical damage and does approx 7-11 damage or so, but that's only a vague memory.
The collector isn't far after the entrance from the Flame Temple Corridor into Dragon's Gullett. Just turn leftish after the entrance and beware the hydras.
I saw this at the collector too, but this was before the recent patch to the collectors, so can't confirm what it looked like. I also had only 2 tar behemoth jaws, so couldn't confirm its appearance.
It sure would be nice if it looked special - after all, that area's tough, which makes the tar behemoth jaws tricky to get....unless there are lots of tar behemoths elsewhere that I've forgotten about.
Edit: Of course, the guy selling it for 45 plat *was* scamming - 1k to look at a regular looking sword with a cool name is a scam, as is the price of 45 k for what is a really pretty crummy item for anyone who can actually manage to get the tar behemoth jaws and then get to this collector.

Yeah, Ikinsey, I don't know why you're getting so mad about something that you're wrong about, but there is a plasma sword from a collector in Dragon's Gullet, and it does look like a forked sword.

I also seem to recall from that area another collector(off to the east a ways, much deeper into the region) that wanted something like 10 of the ribcages you can collect out there from the nasty flesh golem-looking things. And what did he want in exchange for this massive number of goods? What ultimate, ultra-powered artifact of unspeakable power did he offer at such a high price?

This one is dyed Green. You can trade 3 Scar Burrower Jaws for one at one of the collectors in Dargons Gullet. I think this is pretty much the same thing as a Spatha. My Guess is Probably someone who made the game was paying tribute to Halo. As this is a location not many people explore in depth. Unless you are a veteran player you would have a lot of trouble farming Dragon's Gullet at the lvl you would have to be for this sword to be considered good. Which makes me think this is more of an easter egg then anything. In my opinion its pretty much a useless item, But Plasma blades do exist. As well as Shadow Blades, and Crystallines.
On another note, I have 2,000 hours of game play, I have been playing GW since release date. And I have yet to see a Crystaline Sword drop for me, or anyone I have adventured with. Nor have I received it as a reward in the HoH.
Shadowblades where taken out of the game on release, but those who played the beta weekends got a chance to get them. You might be able to find one from a veteran player. but I am thinking the vanity value alone would be well over 100,000

lol, I gave one away last week clearing out storage. I went to get 1 for a weird ranger build and ended up with 2. For a warrior new to Old Ascalon it would be a cool weapon.

I have a strange attractions to Dragon's Gullet. Been there on ever single character I have...several times on 2 of them. It must be something in the water....or my expectations of the Super Trader willing to trade something other then a bag :P. Plasma Sword was nice on my warrior when I went up there, but replaced it really quickly :/
Also there is Pride Rock, ya know...they Rock from the Lion King. You can glitch/run into it and arrive at the top of it. Great view ^^

Well actually, after the Sorrow´s Furnace update, Dragon´s Gulch has been the home of the last titan quest, "Titan´s Source" which can only be received after finishing the last mission in the Ring of Fire and doing the preceding Titan Quests that the Glint statue in Droknar´s Forge gives you. They are all quite lengthy and sort of hard, but after all they give ~20000 exp each. I haven´t been that far to know how much the last quest gives in exp.
