Nika, as one of the cover girl for guildwar faction looks pretty bad in game. Of course I don't expect anything like the cienmatic, but she looks relatively poorly modeled compared to chapter one's heros.
I wonder if that was just a placeholder graphic or does Anet plan to leave it that way...

On a side note, of all the professions, how come assassin don't have black hair.

i doubt thats nika, the girl on the box is supposed to the be on that helped kill Shiro Whatever 200 years ago, Nika is probably her great great great great grandaugther.

*squints* I can't see Visu in that image, it's too small >_>

I wouldn't be surprised if ArenaNet ended up changing the character model (but not before the release)...remember the recent update to Eve, Mhenlo and Cynn? The necromancer (not necessarily Eve) from the CE box was a bit off compared to Eve. Both look quite similar now.

Yup, for a long time i could not understand why why Eve in warcamp appeared so much unattractive compared to the her sexy pose on the wall papers and game box.

A small warning, this has spoilers of the FPE missions, if you don't want to know then please do not read.

Also if you did the missions during FPE they were pretty much the same thing as the cinematic. Atleast that is what it appears to be to me. You see Shiro and the Emperor entering the temple, his face cut up and what not.

At first I thought this was a part of the missions but the more I think about it the more I think it was a teaser mission cinematic that just showed a little of the history. Who knows though, I may be wrong.

@lira: I think I saw a SS of an assassin enemy wielding 2 ghostly swords like the ghostly hero used, who knows they might the very closely related :O

The reason why eve looked so damn ugly compared to the Necro on the boxart was because she was missing parts of her hair and she just looked scary. But I'm glad they fixed her up nice. I hope they do the same with nika, she was kinda ugly.

True, all the heroes and henchmen looked normal [Aidan, Erys Vasburg, Sister Tai, etc] or really cool [Cynn, Danika, Devona] and then Nika looked really crappy. Her hair was awful, her clothes were ugly, and she had a really weird pose as she stood there with the other heroes waiting for to get invited into a group. I hope they make her look more well-thought-out in her character model and update her for the Factions release.

How do you take a screenshot of a video. I used to be able to just hit PrtScn and of course just paste it in MSPaint, but now for some reason whenever I take a screenshot of a video, when I paste it in MSPaint it will only show what is currently on the screen of the window I screenshot. Meaning, when I close the video window, the screenshot that I had pasted in MSPaint replaces the screencap with a black square. Strangely enough. This is offtopic, but...use Media Player Classic to play your videos. There's a feature that allows you to save a certain frame (File -> Save Image). Take the resulting bitmap file and compress it to a .jpg in Photoshop (or any other editor). It's not really an anti-piracy measure, it's more of a design issue (video playing on a different layer (overlay) as a result of hardware acceleration).

I do hope they update Nika before the release, but I doubt they will. They have more pressing problems that need to be looked at and tweaked...

Well, she was posturing with her chest foward in the fairly closeup shot that was posted in the thread.

If you look when shes running foward and flying in the air, they're the standard size of the assassin model.
