FWIW "under 1:30" to some extent implies "not under 1hr".

I could of course be wrong because you did NOT release your time, however with cerb's implication and the fact that someone else released thier time first, (in my mind) credebility may be lost if your time drops down to thiers with the same strategies used. (since cerb implied that it was more than an hour)

Of course implications are a tricky business, so it probably would have been best if "less than 1:30" wasn't said at all.

Anyone can do this under 1:30, and for the record I haven't even seen fenix's video, as I couldn't download it from his server. I have plenty of my own ideas, and seeing someone else for inspiration is completely unnecessary.

You shall see.

You shall see. Okay, but joke or not the implication (ie. basis) is still there.

In any event, I do anxiously await your video, and so I do hope that LINSYS hurries up and posts his.

i just tried and its working fine for me. Worked fine for me last night. Sometimes the server is down for maintenance, and I suspect that may have been the issue. Also some servers are faster/slower than others, so try a few.

I managed (once) to drop 48% before it hung.

Usually I never get that far, either the web page refuses to come up or, no matter which server I pick, it just hangs on 'waiting for server'.

Any chance of posting it to another download site?

*EDIT*
I dropped my Kerio software firewall and got thru to the servers and managed to start the drop. The firewall was obviously blocking something the site needs in order to work (Javascript/VBScript or some such). Others please take note to save on hairpulling

There arent really many sites that will host 250mb files for free... have you tried downloading from a different server in fileshare?

I could compress it to 2x the speed if you want, then i can put it on best sharing. but i wont do that until tomorrow as it takes a long time to resave and then to upload.

Ha, my partner and I just gave this challenge a shot and we clocked in at over 2 hours!

I recorded the whole thing and well, I highly doubt we can win or even contend in this challege.

Oh, triple nightmare spawns suck.

Although this might be taken the wrong way. In my opinion you should just have a timed smite run... although its easy.. the videos would be smaller in file size.. and the numbers of competetors far greater because all people du0 really is the smite run.. because as far as i can tell there are at max 15 or 20 folks competing in this comp of yours... just seems like a better idea than haggling amongst yourselves about unreleased times, file size limits. and such on and so forth...

As for myself i just look forward to seeing some legendary monks and necros tear S#^% up...

i miss you

I love getting whispered by someone asking if I "Think i'll win the competition" when I'm barely in a screenshot and mentioned twice by Avarre. In other news, I too like videos of people tearing shit up.

(At least I assume that was supposed to be a question. I couldn't really tell since you weren't talking in complete sentences.)

Anyway, the point of this is to do something challenging that not everyone does, and put others to the challenge. Not to mention that smite runs, and the subsequent videos, are pretty boring after you've done the run yourself more than a couple times. Don't get me wrong though, Cerb's smite run video (and a few others) are inspiring, but I'd much rather see his than another smite run video.

This thread is dead only because Sno refuses to post his video until Linsys does. And Linsys is ..dead...?

Perhaps you set the bar too high, Fenixxor!

Very nice job Fenixxor, and thanks for posting it - I enjoyed watching it and learning from it.

So, when are you (Sno) gonna post yours? Still waiting for Linsys?

I concur. There is no way in hell I could compete with anyone in here as I've never gone 2-manning in UW (solo'd a bunch...but that's it). Sno, I would like to see what you got

The only thing I don't get is why no music was allowed...it's not like we wouldn't have noticed if someone removed a piece of their run.

Regardless, this was a great idea of a challenge that unfortunately coincided with Lynsis' absence. Gj to everyone who actually did this, whether your time came close to winning or not

Don't close it. I plan to post a video. I have all the software (gamecam) I just have to find the time as this is the last week and a half of the semister. I can do the run in under 1 hour. Whether or not its close to Fenixxor's time is another story b/c that was a pretty good time. I personally think you should keep it open so people can post their runs whenever they get around to doing it regardless of who the challenge was originally meant for.

So this thread doesn't drift to page 10......

I got a chance to do a run tonight. Completed it in 58mins (which is 10mins off of Fenixxor's spectacular time). If anyone wants to see the video I can post it but I don't want to make that my official entry (which is why I am not posting it right now). We made some mistakes throughout, as well as we got the buggy 3 tortured souls on top of the hill spawn which is a pain. Our smite run over all was sucky b/c of poor CF management on my part. I accidentally targetted my necro and died on the spider run. Not my best day but still a respectable time and if anyone wants to see it just let me know and I can upload it.

Keep in mind I don't want to make two entries b/c that would be unfair to Fenixxor. I would just rather scrap this video...but this thread is getting dead and the run was completed in under 1 hour.

Just a question, I think I can do this in about an hour and 10 minutes as I have a nasty tendency of picking up everything that drops; however I have never tried making a video while doing something that requires so much quick reaction time as the ice king quest. My computer lags anyways and I keep everything on the lowest graphics settings.....should I even attempt to make a video since it won't approach your time?

Would anyone be interested?

Completing the quests is an accomplishment enough, it would be nice to see a cpl of other video's I reckon if i did it again now i cud cut a good 5 mins off my time. But my necro seems to have discovered pvp so...

Well here is my video. I can improve on this without too much trouble (and will when I get sometime to go again) but I should post this just so Fenixxor isn't the only one with an entry. Enjoy....hope it downloads without any problems...

58 minutes which is pretty good but could be alot better as you will notice when you see the video.
