it's almost insulting how easy that quest is. Plow through a handful of fire imps, like 3-4 groups of 3, and you're home free for the entire quest. It was pretty entertaining though

It's such an easy quest, that I'm kind of wondering if this Luxon/Kurzick thing is going to end up being a big thing in Tyrria or if it's just going to be a good way for old characters to get skill points(cuz really, 250 faction for either of them is not much)

I was rather disappointed with these two new "quests." I saw two new NPCs in LA, and thought "Yay, something to do other than farm!

" But no...you can just slap on a running skill or two and run to the NPCs for some quick 2,500xp (x2) and 250 (x2) faction. Not that I'm complaining about the reward, but come on, at least make us work for the reward.

A fight between the families would have been interesting, or one of the NPCs asking you to go hunt for a certain item.

But I'll stop rambling, I guess I'm at a loss for what to do in PvE after finishing everything that aspect of the game has to offer. ><

I got and completed these quests this morning, I didn't know they were new, lol.

Yes, the quests are easily runnable. Pick them up in LA, zone into Bergen Hot Springs, and run north to the NPC to complete the Kurzick quest. Then head east into NKP, and run south to the NPC to complete the Luxon quest. Zone back to LA, and collect your 5,000xp, 250 Kurzick faction, and 250 Luxon faction.

(I did this on all 4 of my main account's characters- easiest 1,000 Faction for each side

Just ran both quests, kinda nasty forgetting to accept the first luxon quest, no settlement just very unhappy mobs with clubs.

Ohh.. I had wondered about that... I took the first quest from a while ago, but never bothered doing it.. claimed the reward for it today though, simply by zoning out of LA, then back in.

The next quest though, has the settlement, no (very little) tengu and.. ETTINS

just as many as in the first one, and no npc's.

I take it I need to finish the first quest even though I got the reward for it already?

I kind of doubt it. I view those as a teaser for people who don't have Factions to encourage them to think about purchasing the game.

It's like Anarchy Online - a while ago they gave away orginial AO for free but if you wanted expansions you had to pay. Anyway there were a lot of content in AO that's related to expansions and what I call teasers all over to give you a taste of what's in expansions.

Same concept here.

They were wicked easy for a combined 5000 xp. I did them solo with each of my chars. I'm wondering what's the point? 5000 xp has never been this easy.

i just wish they had given us some inclination that the other quests were only temp because i was busy on my second account and intended to do them on my main at a later date.as such i have missed out on 1000 faction for each side.

Yup all they involve is talking to NPCs and the locations are right next to each other. Luxons are where the Avicara army used to camp out and the Kurzicks are in Nebo Terrace I believe.
