Long time no see thread. I've come up with an armour for warrior, dunno what it's called, but I think it looks cool. It was iunspired by the 1.5K gladiator's set for female warriors. Hope you like.

hehe very nice halev, really like it, warriors need something in that style too

Another one from me...

o.o
That looks so cool ><
Quite a change from the standard, this time having robes on top of chain mail instead just plain robes for a grim reaper of some sort =D

Oh boy, been a long time since I had drawn anything. The artistry is far below other stuff that has been posted in this thread, but here goes, a concept of an Elonian Ranger:
The ideas around it are:
a) the bedouin-like face cover and bandage wraps
b) baggy clothes, especially the ultra-low-bottom-disney's-alladin-like pants, but held tight at key spots (stomach - for breath control while shooting, lower calves - so he won't trip on the loose ends :P)
c) asymetrical clothes/armor, as with most ranger armor in GW
d) the multi-layered pointy thingies (at right thigh and knee, left shoulder and forearm) supposed to be made of leather, for protection and style.
e) lots of stuff hanging by strings crisscrossing his chest (arrow quiver, and canteens - he's gonna need water out on the desert!)
f) symbols of devotion to the sun
g) a crappy dune lizard as a pet, added as an afterthought, too lazy to make it detailed
I might color it later, but don't hold your collective breath

OK, here's one I just made. It's the "Priestess of the Cycle" Dervish outfit.
The rationale behind it:
a) First thing I thought; if we're going to have a woman whirling and dancing around all the time, with a pole (well, polearm) in her hands, it might as well be a scantily-clad woman
b) Prayer strips: There are strips of cloth with prayer inscriptions all over the outfit. Those always come in pairs (around her head, crossing her chest, in the wrists and ankles, along the edges of the cape). The idea is each of these pairs brings a prayer of life and a prayer of death, and the "priest of the cycle" dervish is the one who's supposed to be reading them at the moment of birth and death of people in the community. (spiffy, eh?) The duality is also shown in the fact that she carries the death's scythe in one hand and the ankh focus of life in the other (spiffy, I told ya) :P
c) While much of her skin is exposed, her back is mostly covered by a "cape", which looks kinda like a flying squirrel's gliding membrane, on her back (as it's tied to the wrists), and like the back half of a skirt, below the waist. Those are there for practical reasons (so she won't get totally sunburnt in the desert), and for effect while doing the whilring dance, as they increase the sensation of movement during rotation (same with the loose strips on her wrists and ankles)
d) In keeping with a sort-of-egyptian feel, the scythe is the head of an ibis. Her top, bottom and hood are striped in white and blue (blue part would be dyable by the player), similar to what you'd find on a pharaoh's burial mask.
e) She's barefooted. While at first it might seem unpleasant to be like that in the scorching desert sand, dervishes are trained to walk on hot embers, so strolling on a little warm sand is a cakewalk (no pun intended)
f) in-game effect could be +energy, as with the skimpier clothes for necro, monk and warrior in gw: prophecies.

Here's my latest (probably last): "Ruler of the Skies" Paragon outfit.
Why it looks like it does:
a) The paragon is supposed to be a "commander" of sorts. For that reason, I decided to give him a crown as headgear (since the released screenshots didn't give a clue to what headgear they'll be using, if any), and a scepter as a secondary weapon (since they are backline casters, it didn't seem right to give them shields, even tho it would have been a good complement to javelins; besides, shields are all based on either tactics or strength, which means they'll probably remain warrior-only).
b)The scepter is a mix of the two scepters usually associated with pharaoh burial masks (the flail and the curved-top rod).
c) Once again, the egyptian look. The skirt is inspired on the usual ancient egyptian male skirt model, but using the stylized feather design seen on the released paragon screenshot. And there's the scepter, of course. The linked metal plates hanging from the breastplate give the armor a kind-of "bronze age" feel.
d) Again, the sun worshipping theme, found on the breastplate centerpiece, greaves, and in the belt (btw, the titular "ruler of the skies" is the sun, not the paragon himself). Oh, and the belt is like a champion boxer's belt. don't ask :P
e) Ivory and mother of pearl... meh. I just imagined it made of metal (the breastplate, hanging plates, greaves, crown, and some armor details) and leather covered with linen for the rest.
f) The guy is bald, no eyebrows, no pupils. Increases the whole supernatural, holier-than-thou feel.
g) Possible in-game effect: +10 armor against dark and unholy damage (the "sun" theme), +5 armor vs physical damage (the metal breastplate).

Under the advice of others I'm copying this here
Well I got to thinking a while back about designs and I finally worked on one.
Have a gander at these.... all the same just color variations for the moment and see if you like
In white:
In black:
In blue:
Green:
Purple:
Red:
Yellow:
Spent a few hours hard at work using my monky as model (of course) I have some more ideas up my sleeves which I'll work on.
Wonder if I could get into Game design??? *hint hint ANET*
So yeah this concept is based on wanting nice flowing skirts instead of looking frumpy all the time. I like my 15k kurzick (best 2nd to FoW monk imho) but nothing really has major appeal and accentuation like the other char designs. So I went for flowing graceful skirts and some classy moonstones
I have some more design ideas up my sleeves so when they're done I'll post em up for you to oggle.

watch this space Haha, I would love too see some norse professions. They could give the barbarians much higher health than any other class but have lower defensive armors. They could also deal insane physical damage but would have a slow attack speed to balance. Also, dual wielding could be done.
Aww heck, just turn them into the barbarians from Diablo II LOD. I wanna do whirl wind allready.

Actually we already have a barbarian class, all we need is some armor. Just consider the following skills:
- Battle Rage
- Frenzy
- Endure Pain
- Defy Pain
- Berserker Stance
- Bull Strike
- Bull Charge
- I will survive
- Signet of Strength
- Wild Blow
- Skull Crack
So a barbarian is a mix of an endurance Tank and a Massive damage dealer. Since they need more energy, glads armor is approriate. So less Armor vs anything other than physical, cuz they like physical, Magic scares them . They have massive Health due to defy and endure pain. Any attack skill suits them. Probably most barbarian like armor we have now is either luxon or ascalon.

Thats NICE! I love the bagy sleeves and sandals, very african/nomady, and we definately need quivers included on the ranger armours
