I wondering if this would ever be possible, the assiaisins have the power to once in a while double hit, and many of the attacks double hit, so im wondering if you were in an area they didnt strip your enchantments

do you think live vigoursly with primary assiasin might work? I mean you would be healing a lot, i didn't get a chance to try it in the preview event because somehow the enchant wasn't there

You have less energy, but you would be healing so much it would seem good for some pve areas where you constantly fight anyway

I think something like Live Vicariously would work pretty well. The loss of a pip of regen won't be too traumatic for the Assassin, especially if they've got zealous daggers.

I think another A/Mo combo to see is using Smiting. I've wanted to try a Judge's Insight combination for a while now. Didn't get the chance this past weekend.

I could also see A/Mo using CoP.

couple things since i dont know all the lingo of gw, i caught on to some what is COp

hmm and what about that smite enchant where u hit +x amount per hit i gotta find its name somewhere tho... *edit* o its strengh in honor would could add UP to 8 extrz damage per hit but i think live vigourly give the effect you would want, since damage isn't hard to give an assiasin, its just living

also on a side topic, how much a zealous mod usually cost?

CoP is Contemplation of Purity. Its description is something like "Lose one enchantment. For each enchantment lost, you lose one hex and one conditoin." Has a cost of 5 energy, recharge of 5, I think. Not too shabby, and I'd expect some Assassins to be running Monk secondary for it. Shadow Refuge-->CoP for a single self hex and condition removal.

Yeah, Assassins can already be damage machines, but something like J.I. would be nice, because it converts the damage into Holy damage, and grants the attacks 20% armor penetration. And that could be really effective with Assassin attacks.

Regarding zealous dagger mods...we won't know how much they'll cost until Factions is released, but based on what I've seen, the Assassin discussions and such, Zealous and Vampiric dagger mods will be expensive at the start. They'll easily be the most sought-after mods for Assassins. Assassins already have excellent energy management through Critical Strikes and such, but Zealous will be the icing on the cake, as it were.

hmm i wonder if one were to use judges insight with the other enchant to make your attacks hit up to 8 each higher, if all that damage together would be useful, hmm i guess time will tell

heres to saving about for mods

Zealous mods will never be too expensive since you can salvage them from any purps and golds. Vamp will be sought after by the good players at a price around 10k, and of course sundering will always have it's place being sought after by the dumb sheep in the game. +1% ARMOR PENETRATION!?!?! I tested stacking Strength of Honor and Judges Insight on an Assassin. It does give very nice consistent damage, but if what you want is consistent damage, you may aswell go play warrior.

A Conjure element would do near enough aswell, and give a lot more interesting options than smiting does. As for going A/Mo for healing, without Divine Favour to help out, you won't get much more heal for your energy than Shadow Refuge. You could use Live vicariously, but seems a waste to put points into Healing just for that. Just find yourself a monk sensible enough to bring Vigorous Spirit when there are sins in the party, and don't underestimate the power of Vampiric Daggers.

I suspect most common (good) A/Mo's will be nil-attribute /mo's, using rebirth in PvE, and CoP in PvP.

Well, an A/Mo could be viable for PvE. With LV and VS on, you'd be getting quite a bit of healing. The only real downside is no IAS.

From at least what I've gathered pumping Dagger Mastery, each point gives you 2% to double attack, right? So pumping that is like a built in IAS...
[12 almost 25%, 16 almost 33%...]

If you're willing to blow your elite on it, Locusts Fury (enchant) can help there too adding 20% for a length of time depending on crit strike

The double attacks would help, but it's still not the same as having a real IAS, especially considering that daggers have lower base damage than other weapons.

It stacks, IAS's don't.

15 Daggery Mastery + Locusts Fury + 33% IAS Stance = double base attack speed.

And people thought Orders were already overused...

hmmm... Well with some self healing, and some attacks such as death blossom (ftw), assasins might become a better soloer in farming 20 lvl melee monsters(compared to griffons, minotaurs). We'll see what will happen later;p

As for conjure, SoH, attack speed, etc, Im really sure that assasins will be better in spamming such dmg and in faster time ( as they attack faster than warriors )

I have played with an A/Mo during the 1st weekend preview event. It turned me out. I will make an A/Mo without a shadow of a doubt.

1st, the ability to make it into an undead slaying machine is all to obvious.

2nd, the 55 build should work on the assassin in a similar fashion as it does on an E/Mo, but with slightly different build variations due to dagger mastery and such.

3rd, the energy regen of the assassin will make him an awesome secondary healer(he may not be targeted as quickly because the concensus is that he is a soft target attacker).

I am a fan of long spreads of attributes in PvE situations,so this type of character at a lvl 20 situation will be worth seeing when I have total access to all the skills and spells that can become available.

my A/Mo will be pure assassin, 15dagger 11crit 11shadow, with holy veil and purge conditions... that's all i need.
