I always gotta download files, always, its like 30 files I gotta download. I got dial up so I notice it.
Anybody know why it does that?

This should probably be under Questions and answers but your answer is that the servers are streaming update content to your computer. since you are on dial up it takes a lot longer to push the information through your narrow bandwidth.

Sorry for putting it under wrong forum.
But...it's like downloading the same amount of files everytime. Makes me wonder.

Well there is a lot of new content for Factions being pre loaded. Maps, missions, things like that. Depending on how long you stay on it might just be keying the files up over and over again . I know I counted like 237 MB of content last time I let it sit. It is entirely possible that unless you stay on for hours at a time that your connection doesn't get more than a couple files at a time.

oh so its downloading new stuff for like factions and stuff everytime I get on? I know I let it sit at the login screen and it downloaded 6mb then I got on.

if you sit at the opening screen, it'll stream more files. more stuff is always being added to stream, and if you stream it before hand, you save time later by now having to download maps and other stuff when you enter an area or something of the sort. That little lightning bolt in the upper right hand corner of the screen? That's to show that your streaming stuff. If you stream as much as you can before hand, you may or may not avoid downloading more stuff when you start up.
just leave GW running in the background when your not using your computer (or phone, since your on 56k)
