Pack Rat
Kidney Licker
I've noticed that I've accumulated about 30 bows now, 9 greens, 2 collectors and the rest gold, (+15%). Only about 6 of them are customised, as I'm still deciding how to mod them. Is that many weapons normal or just plain silly?
My storage is pretty packed now.

that depends on how versatile your characters are. if you have characters set to do only one thing, than that is pointless. there is always selling your things to the highest bidder.
Lord Iowerth
Well, I see no problem in being a packrat ... I happen to be one myself. I'm happy that if I upgrade both my accounts to Factions that I will get 2 extra slots on my secondary ... I smell new pack mules already
It all depends on why you're keeping them though, I suppose. If you just have them "to have them," and aren't ever going to put them to a use/sell them: then you might need to re-evaluate your reason for keeping them in the first place.
Just 2 cents from a fellow packrat

I can go into FoW with any of my characters. I usually only have 10 free slots on each, lol. My ele is the worst with 4 sets of greens and a few 15/-1 wands and focii.

The 10 Gingerbread focii and 4-5 Peppermint shields probably don't help either

I got problems w/ that too because I've got a lot of rare and perfect items. One day, I just sold them all and saved the few that I valued a lot or used frequently. Ended up w/ all free space and a few million. Sometimes you want to save items and think you'll use them in the future. Trust me, you won't .
Mandy Memory
One time I had 6 things in my inventory.
Im the opposite of a packrat.

Basically for weapons, it best to have one 15^50% and one 20\/50%.
Same with shields, one ench/stance/normal and one hexed.
Very handy in pvp.

I've filled em all before. several times. It got so bad one time that I couldn't equip a staff on one of my characrters for two days because the game kept telling me my inventory was full while wearing a foci.
Usually, I hve three sets of pack mules:
crafting supplies on my main mule
greens and dyes on another
runes and collectors items on the thrid
and my farmer I keep clean, except for the itmes they use regularly. I've only found one recurring problem with that.

I'm an axe packrat...lol I just like collecting axes. I use them for different places/enemies, but I only buy the best or trade for the most rare of axes. I always stare at the screen after acquirng another axe and say to myself.."self...are you going to customise it or just look at it?" I think it's time I sold some of my collection. I currently have 11 of the best axes in game.

I hate being a packrat, but it comes from a long RPG background where you had to hold on to every little item you picked up because it could be useful later on down the line. I have three characters full of crafting materials and "sellable" stuff. I never seem to get around to selling it though...
AxeMe
Yeah, add me to the Pack Rat Pack ... I have two accounts, two storage bins, 8 characters and I still have to move stuff around at times. I use my PVP characters for extra storage and that's a real problem ... it's a major decision to remake one of them since it involves logging on and off to change characters and move stuff around.
I end up customizing many of my weapons because I enjoy using them. But when I tired of them the only thing open to me is salvage or to keep them, even when I have another weapon that looks better (to me, at the time) with identical stats.
I'm pretty sure that there is no cure for this disease, you either have it or you don't. I wish I didn't.

I was like that for a loooong time, but then I just got tired of it. I have a necro I don't use who is about half full of storage, basically a dye warehouse, Insightful +3's and higher, perfect health mods, bows strings, collector armor trade items, etc.
I sold almost everything, and it sucked at the time, but was worth it.
Now my Mesmer carries Illyana's Staff, an ID kit, a salvage kit and an expert salvage kit.
My Monk carries the 20/20 collectors staff with an Insightful +5 head, Health +22 wrapping, ID kit, salvage and expert salvage.
My Ranger has the heaviest load, a storm bow, the collectors 15>50 ascalon bow, and a half moon, and only an ID kit.
I can take any of them to tombs, which is all I basically do, and pick up everything. Even with no greens, you're looking at 3k a run, so that inventory space is definitely better used to find and sell, than just store stuff IMHO. My regular storage is almost full, but that's all green items I hope to sell eventually.
Phaern Majes
I keep 3 bows on my Ranger. 2 swords and a hammer on my Warrior. Other than that I either sell or salvage everything else.

Im a packrat...i have 3 accounts with 2 mules on each account. Some main characters are mules now too. :/
My ranger carries 12 bows...
There are too many damn greens....just missing 1 tarnok bow and rago staff....2 mules just for greens and thats not even all of them.
Too many almost perfect weapons. I will get rid of a bunch soon.
My tank has 7 swords....14 shields.....9 axes....5 hammers and his own mule to carry his junk....
Im going to sell a bunch of stuff soon...
But then again....2 new slots on each account

My ranger has two sets of chest/leg/arm/feet armor, as well as three masks. That alone is 6 spots, assuming I'm wearing a full set of armor. I also carry my wintersday hats, and a peppermint shield + gingerbread focus (the latter more for novelty than anything else; ends up being the unused offhand most of the time to save space). I also had a bag full of bows for different circumstances, as well as some I'd like to sell. My storage is always jam-packed with materials (what can I say? it's reliable, fast money)
My monk also carries two sets of armor and several weapons, although I've played him quite less. I've come to think that having one bag filled is rather standard, and having two filled still leaves you plenty of space for loot, as long as you don't hang onto things for a long time.
Collecting large amounts of items is fun though. I very regularly drop a stack of charr carvings mid-mission, away from the rest of the team, just for kicks.
