Whatever was in this patch seems to have broken the servers for a lot of people.

I was getting numerous reports from Guildies about the game slowing to a crawl, timing out or kicking them out altogether.

Myself, I had the same problem. Eventually the game wouldn't work at all, so I had to exit. The game then would let me select a character but wouldn't allow me to load a town. After that... well, I can't log in at all anymore.

It's "my router," the one I have never used or had to exist. IE, ANet screwed something up.

For what it's worth, there have a been a number of server issues with ISPs. I'm not sure how far-reaching it is, but--last I heard about it--it was limited to people living in the south who used, uh..

.. can't.. remember.. name..

I dunno.

I'm just saying there's a chance it might be based with the ISP.

My exact problems. This the first I have had with any connectivity issues with Anet - and nothing has changed so far.

I love the game, but when I sent off an issue in support, my final reply was a copy/paste of what I already read 20 times at their Support site - that was cheesy Anet. I have heard that they seem to exercise zero accountablility for their own issues - like the sound problem ("just slide the bar" they said) now the finally, weeks later, ackowledge they had a problem and it turns out that sliding the bar never worked - as evereyone said. Now they have another issue at hand.

I have held off purchasing CoD 2 because of my pure addictiveness to GW - but if I can't play GW - I will probably get CoD2, and once that is done - I'm hooked over there again.

I want GW - I hope they get it fixed, very-very soon.

That update is pointless, they've probably sneaked some hidden nerfs in.

It's what most companys usually do, they did the same with RuneScape, lol. Update something useless and sneak in some nerfs.

Least have the decency to tell your Customers what your changing.

pointless?? people buying a game to get items, then not being able to get the items in game because it isnt active?

Its not fair that people who already have the game, cant benefit from these items

but im confused, if koreans 'won' them via a 'Coca Cola' promotion, how is it that anyone else should beable to get them, and IF they can get them... how... do they come 'out of the box' when you buy the 06 edition of the game, or do you have to farm them??

its all confusing... but i'll probably be going out to buy it any ways, since i have every version of the game i can get my hands on... xD

expert salvaging your armor (the ones you wear) no longer guarrantees that you'll get your rune out. i tried to get my superior death magic rune out of my old armor, and it got turned into parchments.

of course, i'm not sure if it was this way before, but oh well.

CoD2 is incredibly broken and hasn't got Punkbuster anticheat yet. Don't give any money to Activision until they finally release the update. In fact: Just get Factions.

Do the Trial Keys generate cokeplay items also? Can you add a Eurpoean Trial Key to a American CE install?

If so, just find a Euproean friend to send you his Trial Key.

@moriz :: You were Never 100% garunteed to get a rune back out of ur armor

@Ghozer :: It will be an access code u type in, im guessing they will be similar to teh pre-order items.. type in a command and get the items.

@Carinae Dragonblood :: The Trial key is the same as teh one u got when pre-order gw:factions. its a 10hr OR 14day(whichever comes first) trial key to the prophecies campaign. And no, the items wont be on that acct
