Ok, I have played over 1000 hours. I have yet to succefully obtain a zealous sword hilt (wth?). I did found a few sword hilt before (like 2-3 total), they all salvage unsuccesfully.
Now the question is... How in the world is zealous sword hilt selling for so cheap?
Anyone have easy time finding them?
Fixed item drop rate for each account? Base on name or acount key?

Make sure you're identifying your blue items as well, as zealous can come on blues.
99% of the ones i've found have been on a blue drop

I can't even sell for 1.5k on average.
Within the GWG Auction system, very rarely can you set the opening bid at 2k, and still have anyone bid on it.
Anyways, zealous hilts drop quite often for me on random Blue items, and an occasional purple. Very rarely have I identified a gold item with a zealous mod on it.

My guess is all the different mods have about the same drop rate. The reason for the price difference is because of demand and popularity. Sundering seems to be most popular even though vampiric is clearly the best in terms of pure damage. zealous follows behind with elemental mods being the cheapest and hardest to sell. Atleast that's the way it is with bows, I'm pretty sure it's the same for melee weapons I think.

I have the same luck in game as I do in life buy high sell low I bought 3 zealous hilts over the past 3 months had to give 5 k on all I finally found an extra one & no one wants to give me more than 200gp so ill just save it for the future prices get wacky

Everytime I see a sundering hilt going for high, I just shake my head and walk away.
I was able to find axe, bow zealous quite easily. Then hammer, and last is sword zealous mod. It is so rare, that the price is so BS. What are all those people doing with their sundering? It is utter crap in my eye. (Not even worth collecting)

I bought one for 2k yesterday in Lions (for FoW solo) within about a minute of advertising it, but I've had about 5 of them over my GW playing career.

The price reflects demand...there is no demand. I've only seem 2 people ever advertising they wanted to buy a zealous hilt and one of those were me! I got mine for 1.5k.

since i used them first time, i never go outside town without my zealous swords
go to hell sundering(if u think about sundering, it makes approximately the same as one point in strength: +1% armor penetration, at least with a perfect mod)...
