First I'd Like to talk about the Iron Palm Skill.
Iron Palm
10 Energy Cost
20 Second Recharge
If target touched foe has a condition or a hex, target foe is knocked down. This skill counts as a lead attack.
It's a great Knockdown skill if used Properly. Also there is No Rule stating you cannot use two lead attacks one after another. I.E. - Jagged Strike (a Lead attack that bleeds a target foe) then use Iron Palm(another lead attack). This 2-Lead combo attack can have room for skills since target is knocked down like Falling Spider and finishing off with a Dual Attack.
Here is a typical 4-Hit Combo I was using before I made a build with no Elite skills invovled:
Jagged Strike --> Iron Palm --> Falling Spider --> Twisting Fangs
This Can Be useful to Warriors as well:
Warrior/Assassin
For Axes:
Eviscerate --> Iron Palm --> Lacerating Chop (Hit Target foe for xx damage. If Target Foe is knocked down, this attack will cause bleeding for xx seconds) --> Executioner's Strike
For Hammers:
Devestating Hammer --> Crushing Blow --> Iron Palm --> Mighty Blow --> Heavy Blow --> Irresistible Blow
IMO, Iron palm will be the new Knockdown craze other than Shock and Gale since it does not cause exhaustion.
That being said, here are my Knockdown Build. (Warning: People who rush into battle and like be the first one targeted not use these)
This is my 5-hit and 6-hit knockdown Ranger/Assassin build, Works well in RA with Little Defense required. Just dont get killed and know your Hp.
Ranger/Assassin
Druids Chest and Leggings
Explorers Arms and Boots
12 Dagger Mastery
10 Expertise
12 Wilderness
2 Deadly Arts
Zealous Daggers of Fortitude
1 Energy gain on Hit
-1 Energy Regen
+30 Hp
Poisonous Flat Bow of Fortitude
Lengthens Poison by 33%
+30 Hp
(See 1st Build for Details)
Two Build Sets:
1st: (5-hit Combo)
Iron Palm
Temple Strike
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Apply Poison
Troll Unguent
Resurrection Signet / Whirling Defense (For Alliance Battles)
2nd: (6-Hit Combo)
Jagged Strike
Iron Palm
Temple Strike
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Troll Unguent
Resurrection Signet / Whirling Defense (For Alliance Battles)
Pick your targets wisely. Go for Isolated individuals or lure/kite one into your desired area away from his/her group.
Your Initial Knockdown is Iron Palm, but in order to Knock a person down with Iron Palm, you need to put him on a condition. This is where Jagged Strike/Apply Poison comes in. I would suggest using the first build and switch weapons between The Bow and The Daggers to mask your Assassin Strength, also the fact that a lot of people go for practically anything carrying daggers.
Once you are close enough to your target while pummeling him with poisoned arrows, switch to your daggers and Use Iron Palm to knock him down, the rest of the combos; Temple Strike, Horns of the Ox, Falling Spider, Twisting Fangs, they won't be able to escape from since they will be constatly knocked down and dazed. If you are fast enough, You can distract 1/2 Second spells and 3/4 skills due to the constant knockdown and dazed.
Unfortunately, this combo has a small chance that it won't kill the person and leave him with 5% health left, but don't despair, since he will suffer a -7 degen from bleeding and poison, just get a few hits in and he will go down. (Edit: Also from Deep Wound as Well)
For Warriors, you need to use the combo twice to kill.
Total Energy Cost For the Combo (With 10 Expertise):
Iron Palm - 5
Temple Strike - 7/8
Horns of the Ox - 3
Falling Spider - 3
Twisting Fangs - 5
Total Cost - 23 - 24 Energy
*The Reason why I put this is so when you are about to make your move, to have your energy Near or Above 23 Energy For the Full Combo to work
** Using Zealous Daggers cuts the amount of energy needed to 19 - 21 Energy
