On their description, it says that included is "1 Extra Character Slot Code". I'm a bit confused as to what is meant by that, whether buying the collector's edition means an EXTRA character slot in-addition to the 2/4, or does it just mean the 2/4 extra ones from purchasing factions?

There is no extra slot, No matter what version of factions you get and merge with, you will get a total of 6 slots.

Arghh. Ok, do NOT trust descriptions of the CE on any other site but the official GW site, which explains that the CE has the same slots as the Regular edition. (4 stand alone, 2 merged).

this has been too long to be anything but rampant incompetence, not checking facts , and continuing to post this to unsuspecting people hoping for an extra slot.there is no extra slot as mentiond by the reps, GW site itself,
and many, many threads here and other sites.

there has been no official note on the GW site of a CE delay

A governmental department who protects the public from false advertising.
This clearly falls under a false 'trade descriptions act'
Its not good saying "oh they've just not checked" they have a legal obligation to ensure their advert is correct, other wise they are breaking the law.
you wouldnt be very happy if you bought something and didnt get what was advertised.

also notice they make no mention of merging with the regular edition, i believe this is a case of they need to update their info, no mention of merging accounts or getting extra charaters are mentioned in the regular edition. So if anything They are guilty for having old info up.

Thanks to a guildie who pointed me in the direction of this - another guildie bought it and used some Clubcard vouchers and got the CE for £25...
