Question about keys, 24 hrs early access, and shipping of Factions

I'm not real clear on how this is exactly going to work, but I'm sure a helpful individual will.

So I ordered the preorder, which I have recieved, and also ordered the CE, which will ship the 28th. The 28th is when, of course, Factions officially is open for play.

So, I can, with my normal account, play the 24 hour early opening, which is the 27th. Does that then get shut down onthe 28th, and I have to wait 2 or 3 days to play Factions again until the CE arrives at my house?

I am in exactly the same situation as you, apart from I need to receive my pre-order box. I would also find it useful if this were answered

I am assuming you have the pre-order key, you will have till April 28th 11:59pm PST to enter the retail version CD-key. If you don't have it by then you have to wait till you get it.

I'd like to hear an official word on this, or a link to a statement which directly addresses this.

Otherwise I think it would be reasonable to give all those with a pre-order key, a 5 day grace period of free access to Factions while it is shipping

It really makes no sense to give people a 24 hour early access, only to shut it down until they get the retail verson

That is why I am encouraging everyone to do his or her best to get the pre-order package or to do the formal online pre-order, if you are in Europe. Only with an access key will you get into the FPHS.

There is, unfortunately, no way for us to offer a "grace period," if your game arrives late or if you cannot find it locally. The FPHS will end at 11:59 PST on the 28th. We cannot extend the Head Start for any period of time to accommodate situations like this because it would take someone reading and assessing each request and then setting each one individually to that grace period. This could be abused, as well, with someone asking for a grace period just to get a little more free time, sort of like asking the teacher for an extra day on the history assignment because the dog ate his homework

This most likey means that the game will be recived before the 28th and if not when the game offical hit the 28th you still have time to go get it.

This is how it works. You have the pre-order key from the pre-order package? Correct? That will allow you to play April 27th for 24 hours. I requested 1 day delivery, EB Games delivers April 27th. So it works out perfectly I get the game midday April 28th

This is just another reason why I don't preorder.

I would think, that if you ordered it on line, that they would mail it in enough time for you to get it by the 28th.

Here's my situation. I pre-ordered Factions and the store doesn't have anymore pre-order packages. I asked if they would get anymore before the 28th and the guy said "no". So I am shit out of luck for being able to play early.

Edit: Nevermind I just bought the pre-order on Amazon for a dollar.
