I have a 55 SS Necro that I want to start solo farming with, and I need to know what the best weapon to use would be. I know the HoD is apparently the best, but it's a bit pricy. I hear the Fiery Furious Spitter Ave is OK too, but i'm curious what else would be good to use. I know the 20% enchant is very valuable for a 55 solo farmer so I need something that supports that.

collectors curses 20/20 staff with a +5 insightful mod and either +20% enchant or +1 Curses wrapping.

I'm a 55 necro. I can't use a staff. If I did, I would need to be a 105hp necro and would not be as effective as a 55 solo farmer.

Simply use the Green curses rod and the -50hp item

Yeah okay so I'm not thinking. HoD sword is your best bet, if not, a FFS

Cador, I mentioned I need to have the enchantment bonus. You cant get that from a green item. HoD is definitely the best. I guess ill have to go with the FFS.

Can you not use just any old weapon with a +20% enchantment mod on it ?

or am i missing somethin ?

or am i missing somethin ? Yeah, actually that's probably not a bad way to go. You give up the 20% chance of a fast recharge on you're curses though.

I like a wand mainly because I use it as a pulling weapon. It's useful for cutting trolls out of a herd of avicara. Can't do that with a sword, but weapon switching is aways an option.
